I had a couple of BD knock offs (Mars II) but traded in one of them and my 600 watt hps setup for some in store credit and worked out a payment plan for a black dog 240 u
I used a BD40U for about a year. It worked well. It put out a bit of heat, but I grew some nice buds with it in a 2'x2' area. It had a few diodes burn out at about the year mark, but Black Dog covered the warranty repairs, no problem.
