Bigger the pot, bigger the yield??

Is this always true?? Would it really make a difference if I had plants in a 25 gallon pot compared to a 50 or even a 100 gallon pot?

No bigger pot just means more space for roots so Bigger pot= Potentially bigger plants witch would give you more yield get what im saying

I dont know if anyones ever done an experiment...but it seems like you get to a point where the pot's too big. Just my 2 cents. In a single season 25-30 gallons will do you just fine if you want a monster tree.

i have done 6 feet in an 8 gal container before , but ad say about a gal for every foot or every month you plan on the plant being alive . also light intensity and nutes cuz large containers matter for nutes when its organic but less when its chemical

I repot pretty often until my plants start flowering, then accounting for stretch, I use a pot that will comfortably hold as much below the soil as is growing above. This seems to work pretty well. If I see roots growing out the bottom I repot.

For years I've heard "for every foot of expected growth you want one gallon of soil." My Indicas average 5 feet and Sativas average 6 feet. I really like 10 gallon fabric grow pots. Larger pots are nice, but as far as I can tell, it just means less watering and fertilizing. Is anyone here getting 7ft Indicas and 10ft Sativas?

all my plants are 12 to 15 feet some even 20 and all are indica. My dad was growing 20 foot pure afghan back in the 80's and early 90's.

Smaller pots smaller harvest. its a fact. The biggest plants i have seen are in the ground and they are the biggest because they have unlimited space for roots to grow. you can grow a 6 foot plant in a 5 gallon pot but wont put out shit compared to my plants in my 100 gal. or 200 gal. pots.

Think of everything in nature. Bears for instance the more food the more size. Vegetables, fruits, And of course humans.

I grow in the ground too, usually sowing my seeds in april. In the garden I grow organic, in containers I use synthetics. I still only get 5' and 6'. How are you growing them that their reaching 15'? How much veg time do you give them? I can't believe it's just a bigger container that does that.

Damn 12-15 ft plants? Ima have to try 100 gallon pots this year..

So wouldnt putting them in the ground get them even bigger than any size pots? I had some in the ground last year but they didnt even hit a pound.
