9 vaccine makers sign safety pledge in race for Covid-19 vaccine

Nine vaccine makers say they have signed a joint pledge to uphold "high ethical standards," suggesting they won't seek premature government approval for any Covid-19 vaccines they develop.

Does a pledge even mean anything? Like if the first couple rounds of people get sick after 6 months, are they held accountable?

Seems odd for them to say this considering how long vaccines really take to develop.

tRUmp wants to destroy the public's confidence in all things government, including the FDA and vaccines. The drug companies that only care about money have immunity from lawsuits, it's just theater and public relations, they don't give a shit about people.

The first 6 months the vaccine comes out should be interesting. If the government is ok with 180k dying, how many are ok to die from a rushed vaccine?
