So I'm currently growing 2 different seeds from Green House Seed Co.; Big Bang and Super Bud. Both plants have been growing in soil (Miracle Grow organic potting mix, mixed with fox farms, orchard bark, charcoal, bone meal, perlite) and vegged for approximately 2 months under a few 23 watt cfl and a 150 watt hps (in hopes of obtaining a fullER spectrum), then turned to flower under the same as above + an additional 400 watt hps (averaging a total of 650-700 watts total). I used Dr. Schultz 10-15-10 during my veg period and then continued a slight usage of it while also using a small amount of Growtek Monster Bloom 0-50-30.
My Super Bud plant is about 2 weeks from harvest, but for some reason my Big Bang is still far behind, as if it's transition into flowering was stunted at the first sign of budding. I've seen a very slow growth in it, but my curiosity mainly lies here:
I have been examining the trichomes of my Big Bang plant to make sure they are not ambering before the buds even develop, and have been noticing that the trichomes have become PURPLE. and I'm talking bright purple!!! Does anyone know what this is all about?
I will post pictures tomorrow (currently night time in my grow room) in hopes to get some gears turning and some answers out there.
