Big Ass Metal Halide????

Hello people,
I was walking through a job site (construction) the other day and I noticed a box of MH bulbs, so I proceeded to check them out. What I quickly discovered was that not only was it the largest MH bulb I had ever seen but, when I checked to see what kind of wattage it put out the only thing that I could find on the packaging or the bulb read 1500MZ.

Is anyone familiar with this rating "MZ"???

It was shaped like a football correct ?

If so it was an 1.000 watter.

Unless you are an electrical contractor you would not be seeing cases of those bulbs laying around a job site for other tradesmen or passer by's to kick around,your not in construction are you ?

Yes I work in construction. The job site I'm speaking of is a school that is getting close to the end. The room I saw that box in is going to be a classroom and they have all of lights stored in there, CFL's, fluoro's, halogens, etc..etc..
