BHO Making Questions...

Hello all,

Few questions on BHO making. SWIM has been making a little BHO lately and has experience, but there are some overarching questions bugging him.

9k above sea level.

SWIM just purchased a vacuum oven and is not sure why bho keeps buttering. Oven set at 94.5 and left at a -20 pressure overnight. What is the proper temp for a vacuum oven? Is the BHO staying in the oven too long?

SWIM wants to know if there is a way to turn the Now waxy bho back into Shatter?

Lastly, some water got in the initial Butane/Oil mega bucket and created white crunchy pockets in the final product after purging/etc. Any ideas how to get rid of these white crunchy things? --Consistency Of a meringue cookie.

Thanks for any information or just a point in the right direction

idk man.
someone who's me suggests that the somone who isnt you find wifi and ask himself.

i would suggest YOU focus on creating a pristine extract and not worry about consistency. goop and wax is preferred by most around here. if shatter is up right now in your area, id just winterize it

Thanks dude. Will try Winterizing - never seen it or done it. Shatter is more popular in these parts, which is why it is desirable to bring it back to that form rather than the wax/butter (whatever you want to call it)

Hahaha!!! I remember when I used to try and hide behind semantics... I know everyone I know prefers wax to shatter but I myself prefer shatter! I love a good head high

My avatar isn't a picture of me, nor is my family name Fadedawg, but the rest is me passing on that I have better luck making shatter using 115/120F and incrementing the vacuum to -29.5" Hg as I watch the reaction, but at 9k above sea, you only have 21.4 Hg, so your gauge will read 8.52" Hg low, or about ~21" Hg.

You may be able to salvage it by winterizing it, but most likely after overnight at 94.5F, by the time you get the alcohol out, you will be at best in the snap and pull range.

Get the white crunch things away from the rest of the oil and remelt it under vacuum to get rid of the water.
