best setup

Hi all ,i am now seriously considering growing my own but as you all know its illegal in the uk so i want to keep it small and was wondering if a couple of plants would be enough for a bit of personal?
Also what would be the cheapest easiest set up as i am very short for cash being unable to work through an injury(another reason to grow my own and pain relief)?
I have been reading a few of the set ups but they mostly seem geared up for a minimum of 6 plants
If i built a place in my shed with a tumbledrier hose bringing fresh air in and a vent for air to expel would this be enough?(trying to keep electricity costs down)
would it be safe to build a small grow room from wood? it wouldnt catch alight with the heat of the lamp would it?
sorry for all the questions but money is tight and i dont want to waste it,i want to get it as good as i can first time
thanks in advance bifter
keep on tokin:joint:

if you can grow outside it is much easier, 2 plants is risky because aprox. 40 percent of plants are male (you could end up w/2 males) six wold probably be better odds .goodluck

not tryin to ignore your set up question but if your new and money is an issue outdoors would be your best set up .peace

Around this time of year the av high temp is about 11degrees c and low about 4
later i suppose the av is about 16 high and the low about 5
is this any good?

You could get away with up to 6 or so plants for it to be still considered 'personal use'. The most important thing to remember is to not give them any reason to think it's anything but personal - so make sure there are no scales or small plastic bags anywhere near where you're growing and remember the first rule of home growing - tell no-one and pay for everything with cash if you can - no paper trail.

Also what would be the cheapest easiest set up as i am very short for cash being unable to work through an injury(another reason to grow my own and pain relief)?
There's no such thing as a 'cheap and easy setup'. There are setups that will cost you less than others, but you'll get out of this precsiely what you put in - if you put very little in, expect to get very little out. There are three specific areas where you'll have to invest some money: lights, ventilation and nutrients/fertilisers/soil, and whereas you can minimise your outlay - there's still a minimum outlay to make. The minimum you'll get away with is somewhere around £100-150, which is what an oz of dealer bought weed? Think of it as investing for the future because you'll get far more than that back if you do it properly.

My advice would be to stop thinking about growing outdoors because there are all sorts of problems associated with that, not least of which is detection, and focus your attentions on setting up an inside grow area. Here's what you'll need -

An old stand-alone clothes wardrobe about 3 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 5 or 6 feet tall. You can pick these up second hand fairly cheaply, or you can make one yourself. Lights, something like 1 x 125w blue 6,400k Envirolite for vegging, 1 x 125w red 2,700k Envirolite for flowering. 125w Enviro's are £20 each, plus reflector/lamp holder £20. A 4" inline fan, which you can get for £20-30 on ebay, some 4" ducting and a homemade cooker hood charcoal filter. A min/max thermometer/humidity meter and soil, nutrients.

Go read the FAQ's section of this website and familiarise yourself as much as possible with what's involved.

Yes mate they are sufficient for a few plants, however that light is for vegging stage, really need to get another bulb which is a 2700K lamp for flowering to produce more bud like this

eBay.co.uk: GENUINE ENVIROLITE 200W GROW LAMP NEW 2700k (item 130098686373 end time 14-Apr-07 19:37:05 BST)

I got the 125W 2700K envirolite for 2 plants and the buds are lookin gd, but more power, more lumens, more bud
thanks for that are they cheaper to run and cooler like the ad says ,i wonder if they give any discount for buying both?
thanks again :joint: bifter
