Best Light Cycle

We've thought it best to have our night as the plants night. We did it like this because of the police chopper. It only checks, or rather notices unusual heat sources at night. During the day, unusual heat sources are everywhere.
 
Thats a good way of looking at it.

I have mine set on during the night to try to keep the heat down. This summer was a hot one. Now its starting to cool off so Im happy that the a/c bill will go down some.

I about shit my pants anytime a cop flys over though. :)
 
Where bouts are your grow rooms guys? mine is in the garage and i was planning on putting my cycle on from 1 in the morning to 6 at night during flowering... reckon this would be wise?
 
i doubt a chopper would even give a crap about hot spots unless they know somethings goin on. i think ima set my lights up for nighttime too, like widow said, it helps with the heat, and also electricity is cheaper at night time. : )
 
that new poly shield stuff has is made to block there heat detection devices and its also as shiny as mylar. thats what id use if i had a large setup
 
I think the only time you need to have the plants' night as your day (barring living in a hot spot) is when you work. If you have the ability to be around the plants for 24 hours i just think it makes more sense to switch off the lights at midnight.
