Best hydro system????

I am going to be doing a hydro system this next grow and was wondering what is the best hydro system to run. I have an 8' x 6' closet. I was thinking of running a 12 site bucket system and go from there. I am really concerned with leaks on the hyrdro system and was wondering if you all think that this is a good setup or should I go another route.

I really love a simple ebb & flow where you have the plants in pots with leca in the upper tray. This makes it easy for you to put in new plants, harvest and move around compared to the less flexible variations. Very easy to make DIY from whatever - i wrote this a while ago: Homemade ebb and flow Maybe it can help you.

it depends on your setup. FOr example, the ebb and grow is made for growing medium to large size plants, where the ebb and flow you can do either, but its good for shorter plants in more abundance, because it sits off the grouidn higher than the buckets, so if your in a closet you couldnt alllow the plants to get that tall. So, figure out your light source, say its a 1000 wats, plan on having it 24 inches above the plants, and consier your height.

Ebb and grow, DWC, aqua farms, larger plants

ebb and flow, aeroponics, for smaller plants in higher numbers.

Yes, flooding is a risk, you should get a pond liner or something for the bottom.

My ebb and grow has flooded more than once and if i wasnt in a grow tent i would have been in big trouble.

If your starting out, consider soil, cheaper and easier, and it will allow you to learn the process of growing

Most of this is probably correct, but in my ebb & flow i often have plants about 150 cm. high - they go to the sides to catch the light and smaller plants go in the middle. But you can definitely grow any size of plant in an ebb & flow.

Yeah I already did soil the first time and wasn't very happy with the results so that is why I want to try hydro. What is a good lineup of nutrients to use for hydro?

I allways used GHE using Luca's formula - using only the two red bottles at the ratio 2:1 - just so easy, cheap and simple.
