Best fix for light leaks?

I just finished putting most of my stealth dresser together and after looking at it, I realize I will never be a carpenter. lol.
Anyway, I have quite a few light leaks and a couple of them are almost 1 in. by 2 in. big. (I know I suck) So I was wondering what works best for you guys when it comes to covering light leaks up? I'm not sure how to approach this yet, duct tape? venting tape? expanding foam? silicone?

This is my first grow and first box. Thanks for the help :joint:

just get some duct tape the same color as the dresser and tape over it unless ur light is coming out right infront of sum1's eyes where ppl look everyday.. but sometimes the best hiding spot is plain sight..
when you think about it if something small broke in your house how would you fix it normally duct tape right.. so it wouldn't be out of place..
but if its sumehwere ppl wont see go with the woodsman vent duct tape ittl last forever but iittl be conspicuous.... you cuold put mesh tape on it then put plaster/spackle on it then sand it down and paint it that would make it seamless.

I think I'm going to go with the aluminum tape on the inside and duct tape on the outside for show. lol. It's a crappy lookin dresser anyway :bigjoint:

Well I'm off to class and to the store for some tape. Thanks for the help!
I think I'm going to start a journal thread for this grow if anyone is interested. Dinafem Diesel is at two weeks right now and later down the line I plan on adding a #1 Skunk and white siberian. I'll link it later if I get around to making it tonight.

Peace

I use my growlights for an alarm clock, they come on and shine right in my face. I never sleep in now, first thing i do is gaze into the leafy green eyes of my little girls.

avoid clear packing tape when using black/white plastic grow room products, light leaks suck...

(off topic) how the fuck do I start a thread on here?

Must avoid clear packing tape! That stuff carries light just like fiber optic cable! Used it to put mylar on my cabinet doors and I can see the light shine thru the tape around ever corner it's bent around

Gorilla tape allows no light thru and that shit sticks way better than any duct tape.

I under stand its a security thing but light getting in during the dark period is just as bad for them.

there is always spray foam will fill and seal expands to fill large voids and after it dries any you dont want cut it with a blade.
