Best feed

I don't believe there is any proper feeding for a specific strain. I've found different strains types may require different levels of feeding, there isn't a straight guide for any plant.

Have a well balanced and complete fertilizer, gotta learn what your strain, or even specific phenotype likes over others. Hope this helps

definitely buy the full Advance nutrients grand wizard line of products. then double the dose so your plants grow bigger, faster.

definitely don't buy a sensible, non marijuana-oriented plant food

FloraSeries seem to be excellent value for money, & as tonightyou says there are no nutes for specific strains. Strains react differently to the amount you use thats all. Happy growing buddy!

Well I would keep it as simple as you can for a few crops. If you are going for production stick to one strain and work it.

You can't go wrong with the Flora Series 3 part, if you want it more simple then Flora Nova one parts. Canna Substra A+B two part is a nice food also.
Additive wise

Veg
Fulvic Acid (GH Diamond Nectar) as it cheap all other ones on the market are overpriced.
GH Floralicious Plus for humic and beneficial microbes

Flower
Diamond Nectar
Kool bloom liquid
Nutrilife Heavy weight (black strap molasses)

Epsom salts if you start having a magnesium deficiency.

Then learn how to be a good gardener and learn to read your plants.

Also Botanicare Pure Blend Pro is a very nice 1 part food.

I use dyna-gro products. You could get by with just the foliage pro start to finish or you could use foliage pro for veg and dyna-bloom for flower depending on what your plants need at the time.

You could have both bottles delivered to your door for 15-20 bucks total.

GH Flora Series 3-part. I used it with the so-called "useless" schedule. One thing I didn't like is that I didn't know what NPK I was feeding when I mixed 3 bottles to varying ratios. I documented what the NPK ratios were here (<<link), and that has a link to the schedule itself.

That's a hydroponic nutrient. I used it with Pro-Mix HP (soilless) with 20% perlite added. If you're under HID lights you may want to use Pro-Mix BX, it has vermiculite and doesn't dry as fast.

I think it's a good nutrient for a beginner. The only thing I added was Liquid Karma and Kookbloom liquid & powder in bloom.

If you grow in soil or soilless, fast drainage is more important than the nutrients you choose. You want the soil to dry such that you can water every 2-3 days. With HP and 20% perlite, I was doing 2 days. You should also add 1-2 Tbsp dolomite lime per gallon of medium (powdered, not pellets).

I moved onto Grow More Sea Grow, which contains organic ingredients. It's inexpensive, about $1 per plant, per grow. I got tired of the tedium of mixing 3 parts. And, liked the taste organic nutrients impart on the smoke.

I think 3-part is good for beginners because the "schedule" gives them a safe outlet to feel like they're participating at the level their inclined to (instead of killing their plants with kindness). It's a little more immediate. If you overfeed you'll get burnt tips the next day or two (by contrast, my Grow More Sea Grow is slower. I don't get burnt tips, just acidic soil which is harder to detect for a new grower.). The varying NPK ratios help a new grower with "reading" their plant, thinking about what they're giving and what they're seeing. Overall, it's like guardrails (or training wheels). But, there are experienced growers using 3-part too. It's just suited (IMO) to new growers in a unique way.

Get a ph and TDS pen. PM me and I can give you links to cheap ones on Amazon that have worked well for me.

I don't understand why people keep refering to the floraseries as an easy to use nutrient, perfect for
Beginners.
It was the first nute(besides fucking around with MG in my moms closet using floros, back almost 30yrs ago) I started with, when growing indoor with Hid's. It was practically the only thing on the shelf at a hydro shop.
I use to fuck up way to often with the 3part when I was younger, especially when I was high and drunk at the same time, measuring the 3parts out. Lol :bigjoint:
With the advent of more and more 1parts over the years, I highly recommend those to the newbies these days.

I'm using Flora Bloom+Micro+Gro for my ladies (Power Plant and White Widow from Dutch Passion). I'm following the schedule of the Terra description due to the simple fact i'm growing in soil. The soil itself is Plagron light mix.

I would suggest to use a little less nutrition for WW because as i experiencing my ladies are much more sensitive to the nutries i give them. Power Plants are not.

But a rule of thumb: grab a notebook and a pencil and write everything down. If you cloned the current plants you can experiment on them. The reaction of more nutes. Changing the ratio of nutes. Anything you want. Just give time for the changes to take effect.

It is, at least for me, is interesting and fun as well. (Documenting your experimentations on living organic matter if you want to sound scientific)

Eventually you'll want to try supplementing your synthetic nutrients (in this case made for hydro) with organic nutrients. You don't have to go 100% organic. But, if the "living organic" aspect of your plant is important to you, and you're in soil, you'd probably like focusing on the microbiology of the soil (which synthetic fertilizers don't promote).

If you haven't read it, see Teaming with Microbes: http://ge.tt/9LYCbnC/v/1

Advanced nutrients still the best and most cost efficient of the major brands.
Yah it sure is that's why I have a shelf full of AN that no one want to buy at my store while I sell 48 24L bottles of GH every 4 weeks. That doesn't include how much GH I move overall. I sell way more Botanicare and Grotek than AN. AN is for label licker, the fancier the label the better the gardener they think they'll be.

Perhaps because your like every other hydro store that jacks up the cost of AN to 150% markup just to make the other lines look cheap in price. GH and Botanicare are what AN was 5 years ago over priced fancy labels now. Your the dude with $110 litres of voodoo juice that's 4 years old and wonder why I can't sell it?

LOL last time I sold a bottle of Voodoo was Aug 10 for $75 CDN. thanks for playing... All AN I sell goes for about 35% mark up same as all the other foods but once you get past the bare nutrients you're paying 40-50% more for an.

My cost for 4L Bud Factor X is $161.4 I'd like to see a picture of those gold plated lobsters they crush to get that exra special chitosan that costs me $161.41 for 4L

Not even close. It's a rip off and you'd be best to learn more about nutrients if you think it's the best. Advance is a joke for people who don't know any better
