Best Autoflower Soil?

Ok so I am a COMPLETE n00b and long story short I have $40 to spend on lights, soil, and nutrients. But the catch is, it can only come from amazon and it has to be prime eligible.

NUTRIENTS

I have 30-10-10 water soluble nurtients, and 15-30-15 time released nutrients. Will that do? What kind of soil do I need because my last grow did not get past the seedling stage (I think due to the pH).

LIGHTS

I am thinking about 2 of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AZOV9K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

SOIL

Please for the love of God help.

WATER

I assume distilled water is best.

If you have any other tips, please don't hesitate as I need all the help I can get! Thanks!

You won't find any good soil on amazon that's under $30. Fox Farm Ocean Forest/Happy Frog/Roots Organic is what you want. Also most soil are made by companies not affiliated with amazon, which is the requirement to be Prime eligible. I found FFOF at my nursery for $15 for the largest size(1.5cu), amazon charges $40 for the exact same thing. Reverse Osmosis is actually the best water you can use, but distilled I would assume is a close second. If you want to be as cheap as possible miracle grow will work. The nutrient line will work as well. Increase your budget to $100 and you'll see many more possible options. You're trying to do too much with too little.

Are you sure? Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil is $18 prime eligible for 3 gallons which is the size pot I have.. Also, what should I add if my pH gets out of control? Do I want water soluble nutrients or will the time released ones work too? How about the lights I posted? Are those ok? There is still so much I need help on. $40 is an estimate, it doesn't need to be dead on.

You sure it's prime eligible? I don't see it saying "Prime" and I have a prime account. Even if you don't have one it shows. http://www.amazon.com/FoxFarm-FX14053-12-Quart-Organic-Potting/dp/B001I49Q98/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1340078395&sr=8-2&keywords=Fox+Farm+Ocean+FOrest that's what you're looking at right? 2 won't be enough unless you're doing 1 plant. You want 100w per light or 6000 lumens minimum per square feet. I would get the GE 6 pack of 26w 2700k and use all 6. They give 1750 lumens per bulb. The bulbs may be more powerful, but they cover less area than 6 bulbs would. Now if you got 5-6 of those you were be set for a great grow.

You don't want to use time released nutes, read this: https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/937-how-grow-marijuana.html#post4676. Water soluble only.

EDIT: Nvm it's there when you checkout. If that's all you need you're using 1 gallon pots I'm guessing right? Unless you're just growing one plant, which I wouldn't do if it's your first time. So much stuff can happen and if one plant dies from some mistake you can keep on going with the other plant.

Yes I am doing 1 plant and the reason I ask so many questions is because I really want it to go right after my last 2 died. But I might go to Home Depot or something because those prices for soil are out of this world... Any other backup brands of soil just in case? I was thinking almost any organic soil? Also what to do when pH fluctuates. And those lights look solid and I will buy. Thanks for your help, much appreciated :bigjoint:

FFOF, Happy Frog or Roots Organic. All are premium soils so don't expect to pay $5 like you would for miracle grow. When I checked home depot/lowes that's pretty much all they had. They have everything you need to make super soil, but their premix selection is pretty crappy. You'd be better off visiting a nursery. That's where I got my stuff. Less overhead too so the prices will be much lower as well. Check the stickies for stuff on ph, my water is fine where I live so I don't have to mess with all that. Actually I think that link I posted tells you have ph.
