I just got a gift for Xmas that made my day. Two hundred for a rosen press. Now I need help from the experts here on which $200.00 press is overall the best.

Honestly, it might be a lot to read, but my thread “choosing a rosin press” became somewhat of a great read to answer this question.

I wasnt expecting that but its pretty good, the first few pages answer pretty much any questions. Then it becomes a “how to press” thread but only flower rosin and dry sift.

Basically, you cant go wrong with any press they all have their perks. Theres diy too, used presses can be a bargain. I have the dabpress 12 ton with a gauge on the pump,m. Its great for making large amounts fast.

Theres all kinds of smaller presses that will work. All I do is flower rosin and smash 2 pounds at once at one point so I needed something like that. I press 20gs at once. If just looking for something to make some dabs $200 should do it.

Yea I just looked some up for $200 theres plenty you could buy brand new. Even with a decent pump setup instead of by hand. Anything will work thats the beauty of rosin just need heat and pressure.

More tons will be ease of use when pumping especially small amounts. Larger amounts like four 2 inch bags at once instead of just one, will require extra power. When I do 4 bags I go up to 7.5 tons and about half way through starts to require more elbow grease.

Thats a good question, what if the plate sizes where different size but the tons the same? I guess one could just handle more material than the other.. The larger plates retain heat better I was told that much.

I tried to order a 10 ton Dsmsseym which looks good for the $260 price but they want $80.00 shipping and I'm too broke this week. I saw a Dabpress 4 for $225.00 in Ebay and it was gone before I could even look how to use ebay.

Don't get anything less than a 10 tonne.
Patience is a virtue. You might end up disappointed if you just jump the gun right away.
The bigger you plates the more pressure you will need

I was looking at a Vevor 12 ton floor press and Tuopuke Rk09 plates 4x7. But I am so fucking poor. I bought a 5 ton unit that I had money for knowing it sucks but I have no choice. One of the Amazon ones from China. $250.00 altogether. I need dabs now. I can't build a system I don't have bread or time for.

I've got a 6ton dabpress and have zero complaints. For home use I've found it's beefy enough for what I'm doing. You should be fine for your needs.

I just built my own and got everything on sale cost me a couple hundred bucks total. The thread is here somewhere. I don't like flower rosin I only use it for hash rosin.

Dab press usually has sales around now id check them out.

SHIT. I usually am a very patient person. Something I learned with all those years sitting in concrete boxes. I just got another 500 bucks today after ordering the s*** unit I really didn't want to order. It's too late to cancel the order. I've never pressed before so I'm going to have to learn how to do it even though I've watched people do it many times. The small unit will probably be good for me to learn from. But it's really a waste of f****** money and I'd rather be learning on a dabpress 4 or 6 or the 4 x 7 system I can build cheap.
Very tempted to build the bigger setup anyway even though I don't have much product for it at the moment.

I'm going to send the inferior model back to Amazon and hope I see my money again and order the Dabpress 4 from a U.S. company for $350.00. Impatience- and jonesing rosin dabs- was not a virtue but hopefully it will all work out.

Did it. I am excited to dab my own rosin. Ordered the press from Happy Hydro in Buffalo. I grow good pot and like the man said...get a decent one or live with regret. This is a good press for a beginner. Now I need to find out: When is pot not fresh enough to press? If it's still curing is it fresh enough?

I also have this question: If I use a maximum return technique and make low quality water hash, I know it won't press as good as high quality bubble, but will it clean up so to speak from pressing it? Is there a happy medium or is quality always best over quantity?
Last question for now:How cold of a freezer do you need to make fresh frozen..? This may be somewhere in the Matt Rize thread but I don't want to read the whole thing
