Bent stems of little plants

Hi all

I have planted a seed last week or so. The seeds were from a friend and they grew to be pretty tall, few inches but i bent the stem of one of them and sort of broken it....its still intact i put a tooth pick in the ground and tied a tiny piece of string around it to hold it upright. Will it repair itself?

oh phew....um and how long do you think a plant could last without water?? because im going to be away for a week and i dont know how long i can leave it....

Sounds like you have small plants with cfl for lights. If so you could put the plants in larger pots and soak them before leaving.

Hmmmm thats a good idea, i have a 100wt light bulb but it isnt cfl im going to get cfls soon....i dont feel so safe leaving a light when im gone i dont want to get handcuffed when i get back...besides i dont wanna start a fire lol

a light bulb will make it stretch bare that in mind and it will head straight for the light bulb which will get hot so be carefull on that one also as far as watering just soak the soil get some used tea bags rinsed and lay them around your plant stop the soil drying out, good for 10 days

Let me get this stright your leaving for a week and leaving the light off? Perhaps you have a window or something for natural light. If not i dont think it will do very well with a week of solid darkness.

As for cfl's check out the spiral 26w 6500k.

i managed to put it somewhere sheltered outside where it also gets light so the soil will stay moist. What else happened is when i transplated one of my plant, the tip of the stem broke off and i think i got some root damage i taped it all back together so their touching and put it in a pot will it grow back together? ive got a feeling this ones lost.....
