I have two plants growing in my closet. I am using the wrong lights that i got out of my garage just to hold me over til i got the money to get the right ones. I also do not have a timer for the lights yet and my question is, what will it do to the plants if they have light for more than 48 hrs sometimes? my work holds me up later than its supposed to and i dont always make it home to turn em off at 3 PM then back on again at 9PM. Im on my way to the store to buy a timer so the problem will be fixed. But what could that do to the girls?

They should be fine... just make sure they don't go into 12-12, and think they are in the flowering cycle. I tend to keep them on a 18-6 schedule during veg. I would pick up some cheap CFLs... you can probably find some 23w at the local hardware store, just try to get them in the higher Kelvin range, like 6500k to 5500k, and buy a cheap timer while you're at it...

they will be fine, some people leave the lights in their veg room on for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I prefer 18 on 6 off, but 24 hours of light a day they will still grow in.

Yea, 18/6 would be better, .. but you'll be alright.

Only one problem.. when your using the wrong light spectrum you may get spindly stems ect..

Try to get the cfl's as soon as possible.

Wish ya the best :)
