The batteries on my Hannah combo PH-EC-TDS lasted about 1.25 years, so I bought a set of 4 at the hydro store while I was picking up some other stuff. They charged me $12.95 for 4 button batteries.
The new batteries lasted about 2 weeks. I couldn't figure out what the fuck was wrong with my meter because I figured after over a year with the first set, that couldn't even be a posibile that the batteries were dead.
So I went to Batteries Plus because it was 8 am and I just dumped my res and then figured out the damn meter needed batteries and the hydro place was closed. They sold me a 10 pack for $9.99! I couldn't believe it, I was so pissed at the hydro store. They also had 1000watt MH for $36.99, though some research should be done to make sure they're ok for growing - 37BUCKS!!!! They also had HPS but again, need to check it out first.
I'm so sick of hydro stores run by 19 year old kids who don't know shit that mark up everything 60% and then try to make you feel special cause they give you 15% off. Fucking bullshit. I'm just about to the point I don't need those shops at all any more. I've almost figured out where to get everything elsewhere and I'll order the rest.
Just wanted to let people know about definitely cheaper batteries and possibly cheaper bulbs.
