If it has hairs (pistils) it is female. If you can't post any pics then I suggest you check around for some pictures of female/male. A male will have many pollen sacks/flowers/balls. pic 1 is male and pic 2 is female. You also may try uTube. search "sex marijuana" I haven't but there is ALOT of MJ grow help videos out there... I've watched dozens. Mostly very helpful. hope this helps.

appleseed,

That first picture is of a well established male that's got to be dam close to releasing some pollen. I get rid of my males long before they get to that point.

No way your showing sex at 10 days. I could be wrong but I doubt it. On 12/12 likely 3 to 4 weeks. I have weekly pics of a 12/12 grow I'm doing that may help. Here's the link

apple,

I hate to be disagreeable, but I'm gonna have to disagree with that.

With in 10 days of switching to 12/12 I usually have all my plants sex determined by looking at them with a 15x magnifying glass.

I also disagree with the theory that males show up first. This last cycle on day 6 of 12/12 the first plant I could tell sex on was a female. Then on day 8 I was able to tell sex on 13 more females and 8 males. By day 10 I had them all figured out.

Jack in the bud.

He's well separated from the girls. I'm raising him up for pollen collection...

Campfire. Nothing certain yet that I see... Malish look but clearly not certain. Jack is likely correct.

camp,

That's what it's looking like. All though you've got to be careful because sometimes there's emerging leaf tips down in there that resemble those tiny white hairs. From what I can tell from those pictures I'm about 90% certain it's a female. Another day and I'd probably know for sure.

Notice that the little pod the hair appears to be coming out of is all the same hue of green and appears to be a smooth walled vessel with no striations in it. On a young male pod you can usually see two hues of green that indicate where the four petals of the flower will be when it opens.

At this stage I'm always more sure at first when I find a female than a male. I usually give what I think is a male another day or two just to be sure it's a male before I destroy it.

I find a cheap 15x or 20x magnifing glass to really be helpful at this stage.

Camp,

I keep the pollen I've collected in a plastic 35mm film container in the freezer. I have some that's about a year old that I'm going to dust on a few lower buds on this crop in another couple of weeks just to see if it's still viable. I know it was still good at 6 months.

I'm currently on day 12 since switching to 12/12 and just went thru this sexing thing again so it's all pretty fresh in my mind. I did 42 days of veg (from seed)under 20/4 before switching to 12/12. The first two weeks of veg I had the plants close under some standard shop flourescent lights before I put them under the more intense main lighting.
