Ballast!

I purhcased this 400 watt hps htg supply and my ballast is getting hot is this normal? because I'm keeping it on 24/7. and it's the 3rd day. :joint:

Yurp. Mine sometimes shorts for a couple seconds when it gets too hot

its perfectly normal for it to get hot thats why good ventilation is key or at leaste partly.

I did put some CPU cooler on it ,and a 8cm fan blowing on it , and its really cool now :-P
