I hope this is the right spot for this thread - had some trouble finding the right sub forum for it.
For my first couple of grows I am hoping to use a bagged super soil to avoid the hassle of mixing/making my own. I understand its going to be more expensive this way but hoping it simplifies the process a little bit. I've done some reading across multiple forums and it seems that Coast of Maine is pretty popular, so that is the direction I am leaning towards. I am definitely open to other suggestions though if you have something you prefer.
I've read that it is a really heavy soil, what are suggestions for cutting it down so that it drains better? I will be running these in 5 gallon fabric pots. I'll likely be starting in their seed start before transplanting to the 5 gal pot with the stonington blend.
Mostly just looking for advice here so I don't completely screw up my first grow! Thanks!
