bag seeds in horse manuer. im looking for some experienced outdoor grower advice

ive posted in the general growing section, but i guess since they ARE outdoor plants this would be more appropriate.

nothing special. but the past week weve gotten a good bit or precipitation and my plants have really been loving it.
theyve literally doubled their size in one week.
its now time for them to be transplanted to a more secure area.
im still looking for advice on how to move them out of this in ground garden to another in ground garden without destroying the root system. ex. how deep would theroots be, what conditions should they be moved in ect.

not that im clueless in this matter, but im sad to say ive made some mistakes recently and a good number of my youngest plants suffered the consequences.
comments always apprieciated.
