i'm going to do a greenhouse grow soon [winter] and i'm currently in the process of deciding which location of my property to use. with our high uv, would it be okay to set it up in an area that is shaded part of the day? i understand this a novice question, sorry... i'm just not familiar with growing in this mighty arizona sun. all help is appreciated.

Put the plants/greenhouse on the north end (facing south)of your property for the sunlight purposes. If you are worried about harmful rays etc, just put some shade cloth up but since the high temps will not be an issue the cloth could be considered overkill IMO.

i should rephrase... i wanted to keep the greenhouse as close to my house as possible in an effort to avoid rippers and have electric outlets nearby.

so i was wondering if it would be counterproductive for the plants being shaded by a wall for a few hours a day?

if so, of course i will just put it [facing south] in an open area with no tree covering or shade from walls.
