Sorry for my ignorance but could someone tell me what this does exactly. Running a room with a trolmaster and the autopilot. What benefit do I get from using the autopilot instead if just plugging lights in to a regular outlet.

For one, a regular outlet can't handle anything close to those amps. It's also, IMO, a throwback to HID lighting and high wattage use. It seems to me, to be something that is out of date. It's basically just a large single switch.

No, you need to feed it with a LARGE line... at least 80 amp sized wire and breaker, some people barely have that for the whole house. It's for warehouse people.
