autoflower question...

I just started my new grow (journal coming soon!!!). I need to know if an autoflower strain ( white dwarf) will tolerate having the photoperiod switched from 18/6 to 12/12 half way through? i have other strains growing that arent autoflower.

If anyone knows it would be a huge help, Thanks.

It will live yes but will really reduce yield and quality of the plant. In a case like yours i would suggest getting some cfls n seperating it from the other plants if it is possible for you.

So the way an auto flower strain works is that instead of being photo dependent, example: 20/4 then to 12/12. Auto flower strains go off of maturity, and when it's ready, it's ready. If you were to switch to 12/12, the auto *could* suffer some stress or shock which would slow the maturing process. Auto's are also very dependent on getting enough root space, more so than regular pot plants. You should do some research on it. They're interesting.
