*Autoflower Grow* Super Cali Haze from Short Stuff *pics*

This is going to be my first Autoflower grow, but my second prop.215 grow. I ordered 10 fem Super Cali Haze seeds that should be here within a week. Im going to do 8 of them in 100% organic fox farm soil with just guano tea and the other 2 im going to put into a DWC 5gal bucket with the standard GenHydro Mico,Grow and Bloom nutrients to see if the strain prefers soil or hydro for future grows (and to help everyone out with questions). Stay tuned for weekly updates from seed to harvest. Grow will be done with 600watt hps NextGen Lighting in a 4x6 insulated room with panda film.

Grow Room:
My grow room right now was just a 4x2.5 space that i made with panda film. I only fit two full size plants in there and its full. So for this grow i have made a legit room. This is a great way for anyone to make a quick insulated room. I went to the hardware store and purchased 2, 4x8 sheets of 2" insulation inserts. The ceilings in my house are 8' and the floors are carpet so this makes for a fast and easy wall for anyone. I just took the two 4x8 sheets and stood them up in the room to make new walls. Now i have a grow room inside of a room. The grow room measures 4' wide by 6' long. with a large window for proper ventilation. After the walls were up, i put panda film over them to make sure they are reflective for the plants. Now im just waiting on the seeds and new light.

Lighting:
In the old panda film room for my first 215 grow i experimented with a new 120watt LED. I used this for veg and flower for two plants. One is "Sierra Dream" (a cross with Blue Dream and Cantaloupe) and the other one is "Snow." The light worked amazingly well in the veg stage and saved me a lot of money! (only cost me about $4 a month to run). But i did notice a slower flowering stage with the LED. Overall though i am very happy with the light and will be using it in the future for a mother plant and/or clones.
For my new room i am ordering a 600watt NextGen lighting system from www.discount-hydro.com they have the best prices by far, even with shipping. This light should be enough for the 10 Autoflower seeds for their entire life cycle.

I am really excited about this Autoflower grow. From the research ive done on them, the Super Cali Haze that i ordered is a large super auto plant that is predicted to yield anywhere from 2-4oz per plant. With 10 of them going i should have no problem harvesting 1.25 lb in 120 days!

Untill i get the seeds and am able to post some new pics of this grow i will post some of my current LED/DWC grow.
Like i said before, my first prop 215 grow is one Sierra Dream and a Snow. The Sierra dream is tall and branchy but the snow is short and bushy (would have worked great with a SOG method). I got both of these plants from the Medical Club in town when they were fully rooted in 4" grow cubes. I put them into two 5gal DWC buckets under my 120watt led light and veged them for 4 weeks and now they are currently 7 weeks into flowering.Ive been using GenHydro Nutes (micro,grow and bloom along with liquid kool bloom and dry kool bloom) I will post pics as soon as i can, but this Thread will be mainly for my 10 Autoflowering Super Cali Haze from Short Stuff

What kinda 120W LED light did you use for your first grow?

I'm growing a Super cali haze freebie seems like its gonna be some good smoke. Im at about day 60 and have some nice buds already about a 4-5 inch main cola so far thats gettin biger everyday and a bunch of nice sized buds on the side shoots. The only thing they will get really tall mine is at about 3 feet and the strech seems to have finally slow down. Its a good 12-14in taller then my ppp i started on the same day.

Idk if you'll be able to grow 10 under a 600watt light though as big as the seem to get, but there not to much side branching since its pretty much a full sativa so you may be able to.

If I still had a camera i'd post a pic, but it seem like its gonna yield 2-4 ounces.

i got it off of ebay from a company in Chino, CA. 3ft is fine with me. im used to sativa and indica strains. If i need extra lighting im just gunna add my led once my Snow and Sierra Dream are done. That thing apparently puts out the same amount of light as a 600 watt hid, so 1200watts with 10 should be plenty. Id really like to see some pics if you can find anyway to get some on here. What nutes are you using? what grow med... soil or hydro? The description of the seeds say that it will yield up to 4oz per plant outdoor so i think 2oz off each indoor will be good to shoot for. what do you think your going to crop off of your freebie?

Here are some pics of my current 215 grow. The taller one is Sierra Dream and the bushy one with mad tops is Snow. Both were clones from the medical club here in town. just about 7 weeks flower under 120watt LED. Using GenHydro Micro/grow/bloom along with liquid kool bloom and now dry kool bloom towards the last couple weeks. DWC 5 gallon buckets with 3 large air stones in each bucket. let me know what you think.

I wish I could post pic's but my girlfriends iphone got stolen. I'm growing it it pro-mix ultimate organic (peat moss,perilite lime,sea compost). The nute's I'm are Foxfarm tiger bloom/big bloom General organics cal-mag and molasses . I'm gowing mine on a 12/12 light squedual, which I hear reduces the yeild of autos (not sure how true that is about the sch though it seems to be doing great). This is my first grow, but I'm thinking it will yield around two ounces, looks like its gonna form a huge cola with some nice sized buds on the later branches.

I'd love to be able to post a picture, i'll try to find some way. I'd definitely recomended it though seems like its gonna be a great smoke, its got a fair amount or trichromes and 60 days aprox. left to go.

Hello medicineman i think youll love the cali haze. I have grown them as well as my own special amnesia haze x nyc deisel x lowryder i bred. I love them and they have great smoke n yield with care. Just watch them close as i noticed they are a little more nute sensetive than other auto strains. Also when they hit their stride growing make sure the height adjustment on your light is simple because they shoot up quick. Also with mine the first grow the ocean forest was a little hot. I would reccomend deffibetly adding a 1/3 light warrior to it. Also zho root stimulator really helps them i have found because it helps them make better use of nutes. Cant wait to see more. Peace.

Thanks for the info chirim. I was thinking the same thing with the soil. The light warrior is very airy and should mix perfectly with the Ocean Forest mix. I think the only thing im really gunna use on the 8 soil ones is guano tea and water. I really love the true organic taste that comes from soil compared to hydro. should be starting in a week or so, still waiting on the seeds and new light. Been working on the room all day though and i now moved my two others that have about two weeks left in flower into the new auto room. Cant wait to ge this shit off the ground. Hello i do have pics and will post them as soon as i unpack my life from the pod as i am in the middle of moving from florida to middle east coast. The light warrior mixed with ocean forest works great just add a beneficial bacteria root stimulator like zho or equivelent it helps tons. Also i hear ya on the organics for taste in soil i think it is the way to go also. I use the earth juice line as its fully organic and works excelent. I hate waiting when i order seeds it makes me feel like a little kid waitin for xmas. Lol. I breed allot so i dont order that often. I run 600 watt lights in each grow area as they are excelent when it comes to efficency. I run mh until flowering has started for a week then switch to hps. Also my first run of cali haze auto i used the soil with no nutes for veg n went strait to bloom nutes. Worked well but second run i did 1 feed of grow at 30% then started with bloom for the second and with 4 females i got a little under 2 oz more than first grow. Food for thought. Best of luck youll enjoy the strain.

Its been a couple days since anything. Trying to finish off my first small 215 and save some money for a nice XXXtreme hood and 600watt set up. I did get my seeds the other day! I ordered them on a friday night and they were here the following thursday! Fast shipping and discrete. kinda laughed when i saw it but, hey it works. Ill post some pics of the seeds themselves soon. Got 2, five packs of Super Cali Haze. One pack came with 6, i think because of the look of another one in the package (the one seed in the biggest seed ive ever seen, ill point it out in the pics) so i think they just put in an extra one in-case it doest pop. As for the freebies..... i got one Blue Widow and the other one is Critical+. Never heard of Critical+ but it looks and sounds great. The Blue Widow is gunna be sick when i finally do get around to that (prob this summer here in cali). But thats really all for now... ill post pics of the seeds and new pics of the current 215 in the next day or so. Keep posting info if anyone knows this strain or thinks they can help, thanks... later

Hello. You will love the blue widow as that is a favorite of my fathers. I grow for him also as he had a leg amputated and wanted something other than pain killers. It gives a clear up high if harvested when trichs are cloudy but not amber. When amber it is a sedative i think makes me sit in thought but does well with pains. It is a little pickier to clone but well worth it. The critical is good also but not one of the favorites. I have some lavender seeds from soma and that is amazing as well as one of if not the most beautiful plants. Goes to a deep purple almost black and has a cleaner smoke. Doesnt have any green taste to it. Im thinkin of a cross with that later on with my haze to add the color and cleaner taste as an experiment. I have started un packing and soon as i do get it done with work and all i will post you the pics ang grow log of the cali haze i did so you kinda have something to look at for your grow ideas. Also with the haze make sure you have backstrap molasses or sone pure unrefined cane sugar as it helps swell the buds and helpes with the resin n taste. Your going to have a blast.

Yeah i can not wait to grow the Blue Widow. I was looking at small greenhouses the other night online and i think thats what im gunna do this comming summer. Since i live in cali i dont have to worry about anyone seeing it or anything. Im going to get a square 5x5 greenhouse for my back yard, start the seed indoors and then transplant outside into the greenhouse come april or may. Hopefully she bushes out and gives me a solid harvest for a single outdoor plant next year. As for the Super Cali Haze and molasses... ive always heard about this but never really knew how or why molasses? can you explain how much and all that good shit? i use to know a grower in VT that used pure maple syrup at the end of the grow... never knew the details though, just amazing bud. thanks dude

Good luck with that strain man, I tried growing it and it did not grow well at all, maybe it was user error or maybe it was the strain but both my Super Cali Haze and Onyx from Short Stuff grew poorly. All my other non auto's grew fine

Hello again. I mix 1.5 tablespoons of backstrap mollases per gallon of water through all waterings in the flowering cycle along with the organic bloom nutes. It gives the plants some nutes and sugars and carbs the fert doesnt have. It will help produce tighter more resinous buds with a greater flavor. Some say it just helps make buds tighter some say only helps with resin production but in my crops i have noticed all of the above. I dont use it on the last watering just because i want to give it a clean shot of water last. I also give them a 36 dark period and harvest very early morning when aroma seems to be at its highest. I do that with both auto and photo plants and have great results. Hows the progress. Im up to my ass unpacking boxes and with work i so need my grow rooms set back up for sone enjoyment and relaxation. Have a great time.

Sorry for anyone thats been out there looking for an update. Ive been really busy at work and havent had time to even do nute changes on my current crop (had to have my girlfriend do that for me last week). Anyways, as i said in one of my last posts i did get my seeds. After reading a lot more about the Super Cali Haze strain it sounds like most people are having to switch to 12/12 with them in order to start flowering. I hope this isnt true with my grow since i got 10 of them, but it might just be a long autoflower. Last week i was really looking close at the seeds i ordered and i noticed that one of them is like 3x larger then any seed ive ever seen and its totally round, not oval. And another one in the same pack was immature looking with a green spot on it. I decided to contact the Single Seed Center about the issue and see what they would do for me. After trying to return the whole five pack and just exchange them for a better known autoflower they just said they were going to send me a replacement seed for the one green one, because the large one was numer 6 in a supposed 5 pack. So now i have 11 Super Cali Haze seeds. Im prob gunna plant 8 of them now, and order two Auto AK47 so i have an earlier harvest and i get to see how well that strain does. I would love to plant all of them because i have the room but my county limit here is 10/10/1 (10 veg/10flower/1mother) and i dont want to exceed that because my grow is inspected by my roommates probation officer once a week! He loves it though, they guy is mad chill and always asks me questions about them haha, gotta love prop215.
Anyways, i am working on finishing up my last DWC grow. Things arent looking that great for a heavy harvest, im pretty sure i over trimmed and loss some growth during veg but the plants are stinky and should at least give me some free medicine for a month. Good starter run, but now its time to get a little more serious. I ordered a NextGen 600watt ballast with a complete 6" hood setup from www.discount-hydro.com . Shit only ran me 350 with shipping and i paid out the ass on CA state tax. So im really looking forward to getting that in the mail soon. On top of that purchase, im going to the hydro store tomorrow here in town to get soil, pots, seedling dome and guano so i can get everything under way at the end of this week. Im going to flush my current 215 in the next day or so and then they have a week of just water. Once they are down the Super Cali Haze will start. Sorry for the delay, my current grow should have been done last week but beginner mistakes. Im not touching the next grow, i got plenty of room for them and all the patients in the world. Well thats the update for now, stay tuned towards the end of the week for pics of the new set up. Gunna go medicate with some new flowers i got today, fresh out of harvest season. Got a 3-sample 1/4 for $60 consisting of Blue Dream, Sour Diesel and Green Crack. All taste great and were grown under the great Cali sun. ahhhhh later

Seeds started germinating last night. Went to the hydro store yesterday and got 10, 4gal pots. 3 bags of FF Ocean mix and 1 bag of Light Warrior, seedling tray and dome. Talked to the Discount Hydro customer service, they said the DigiLux bulbs are backordered for another 7-14 business days. So i had them ship out my ballast and hood anyways cause i need that shit to start up! They refunded me the price of the bulb and im just going to go to the local store and grab a bulb. Light is gunna be here tomorrow! Seeds should pop by friday night and will go into the seedling dome in small Grodan cubes and then transplanted into the soil and final containers prob next monday on my day off. Looking foward to getting these girls out of the seeds and growing some fine medicine

Hello again. Those girls are beautiful in the pics. And its nice to see your gettin ready for the new seeds. I am finally unpacked and gettin set back up it seems to long. Im actually going to build 6 grow rooms in the basement this time and use my tents until i get them ready. Each room will be 4 by 4 and 8 feet high with full temp control and humidity. It should work out great and be cleaner lookin than a bunch of tents. Keep us updated and i will also. I will have internet and cable hooked up on the 20th finally this phone crap is gettin old.
