Auto that topped itself

Threw a few auto seeds outside this year. One of the autos topped itself which is a first for me ever growing. I germinated the seeds and when they popped I planted them. 2/3 (glueberry by Dutch passion) sprouted less than 48 hours after being planted. The one that topped itself (white widow forget breeder) didn’t peek through after 5 days. Dug in the soil to find it and found it growing down not up and was almost yellow in color and thought it was done for. Almost plucked it assuming that it stunted itself and being a auto would never reach its full potential. Let it grow and it topped itself from no outside intervention after its first single blade leaves. It’s just showing pre flowers now so may actually get to a decent size for a auto. I guess my long winded post was to ask if anyone has seen this before?

That is pretty cool Turtles! While it's uncommon, it is a possibility for autos as they're not as genetically stable as their photoperiod counterparts. Most of the time this expresses itself through harmless mutations, weird shaped leaves, or etc but sometimes you get lucky and get a mutated affect that is positive! I can usually train my autos so that there is a pretty close to even canopy of budsites by tieing over the tallest growing ones to be level with the lower sites. By doing this, you can actually redistribute the concentrations of auxins (hormones) to all of your branches instead of 1 or 2. Cannabis senses which budsites are highest, and sends the most auxins to it as it has the highest chance of being pollinated via wind.

@urtles4eva, the photos are too small to see properly, by the looks of the names it appears that you have dragged thumbnail images from your photo app, that why they have that weird name they're buried deep. Better to export or use the share button or whatever to export a proper size.
