Auto tent with the Viparspectra XS1000

I will be showcasing my 2.5’x2.5’ auto tent under the brand new XS1000 in this thread.

I want to thank @ViparSpectra Grower for the awesome giveaway & letting me test the new XS1000

I decided to put the XS1000 in my 2.5’x2.5’ instead of the new 60”x48”x80” tent because the footprint on the XS1000 will do much better justice in a 2.5’x2.5’ coverage area come flower time However we are still a ways from flowering auto’s as currently I still have my veging photos in the 2.5’x2.5’ at the moment waiting to put them into flower in the new viparspectra tent.

The first thing that stood out to me when I opened the package was that it came with the badass metal levered rope rachets, not those flimsy plastic ones that 85% of the other light companies give with their lights Kudos to Viparspectra for not cheaping out & cutting costs like the other companies & giving equipment that’s above & beyond what the job calls for. This alone gives me great confidence in the company & that these will definitely be quality products Speaking of quality check out the Samsung LM301B diodes

All in all, I got to say I’m impressed with my initial reaction of Viparspectra, but time will tell. I was thinking that this was just gonna be another one of those Chinese knockoff company trying everything to cut costs, however from the quality of the products & their generosity, it appears I was dead wrong I love it when I’m wrong in a good way.

The girls have been under the new XS1000 for about 4 days now, & there loving it

I feel as though my plants got kicked into a higher gear & are growing much faster compared to when they were under the blurplesObviously this is due to the higher PPFD coming out of the XS1000 & the far superior light spectrum it produces

The four plants in the middle are lemon tree x durban posion & once I’m able to sex them it’s time for flower & I will be restarting this tent with the autos to really see how this light preforms when it gets to flower☮

You can really see how the lemon tree x Durban just took off in a short period of time under the new light

Is literally only been just over a week under the Viparspectra & the girls have exploded‼

This weekend I will finally have time to set up the Viparspectra 60”x40” tent & move the Platnium City Runtz clones & Lemon Tree x Durban Poison to a bigger space so I can get started with the the auto’s in here, the 2.5x2.5

The new area for the Viparspectra 60"x48" tent is all cleared off, vacuumed, & mopped I’m ready to set her up☃
⚠I love how they thought ahead & put extra thick cardboard protection under the tape line to protect against tearing the fabric when opening up the package⚠

I love how they 3D printed some ‘snaps’ for storage purposes so you can keep all the parts together easily

This new tent is awesome. I haven't even set up the divider yet, but everything is A+ quality I can tell just from the material alone that I definitely won't have to worry about light leaks (but it’s always good to check just to make sure) Also, the tent was stupid easy to set up & only took me 25min by myself

I’ve got to say I’m super impressed with my initial reaction to the tent. Only time will tell, however this is a very well made product from my initial observations, so I have faith

So many possibilities I don’t know what I’m gonna do yet. Thinking of possibly running it without the divider

⚠FYI I don’t know why they did this, but the dimensions are actually shorter by 1” (actual dimensions 59”x47”x79”) so keep that it mind when your measuring out your area️

The boys got chopped up & are getting made into some FPE & then gonna get fed right back to the girls

Damn I'm jealous of you guys that have huge spaces to grow. My little tent feels like a matchbox compared to that one.

Not much has been happening. The girls are finishing up Veg & finally ready for flower & They are loving the light They are finally getting moved to the flower tent, so now we can do a quick reset for the auto’s seed to harvest I’m super excited to see what this light is really made of️

So I’ve been using the tent daily for a little over two weeks now, & I’m loving it. The super easy access makes everything that much easier when working inside.

The only problem I found so far is that both straps that hold the doors open broke

It’s a great idea & It worked well for a couple weeks, however they both broke 1 day apart from each other. Apparently the doors are too heavy for the type of stitching/thread. I got a sewing kit and I’m gonna try and sew them back on and see if that works. Maybe it was just a bad sewing job. Maybe it’s the material. I’ll let you know what I come up with.

As you can see from the pics they failed in different places however, upon closer inspection, they both failed at the loupe that connects the hook. It definitely appears to be a bad sewing job. We’ll see if my sew job can hold up better.

I alerted viparspectra to the situation & I’m sure they will remedy the stitching on all future tents. I will keep everyone updated with their response. That said I would still recommend this tent to everyone. It’s still a badass tent for a great price️

Just germinated some great auto genetics that I’m super stoked about From Rocbudinc we have grape god & grape dosi breath. From Mephisto It’ll be sour gummy bears & from Sweet Seeds Devil Cream.
Just got them wet & I’m hoping they all make it above soil by Wednesday. I will be growing all these in FFOF with the occasional top dress of dr earth flower girl.

This is the viparspectra tent. I have platinum city runtz & candyman in here. I originally planned on moving them to my closet when it freed up, but I think PCR got too big to fit in the closet so I’m just gonna keep them in the viparspectra tent & run my Lumpy’s Apple Fritter & Ice Cream Cake clones in the closet. Super excited for that run as well

Damn your pushing it height wise lol. Those are going to be huge. That's insane. I need to stress less about height and light proximity obviously lol. I've got two autos in a 2x4, I'm at day 39 from sprout now and I thought I was too close to the quantum boards at 15" for the tallest, and 20" for the majority of heads. There's 340w in there. I'm always way too stressed about getting too close to the lights for some reason.



I just caught on that you are vegging photos lol. I thought you were saying they were autos at what looks to be 5 foot tall in veg....it all makes sense now...I just didn't read the first post properly. Good luck. I'll be checking your auto grow out for sure.

Are you getting any light burn that close to the quantum boards? If not I need to step my paranoia down a bit. Those lights use the same diodes and drivers as mine.

Yes, in the viparspectra tent it is all photos. You can get them pretty damn close until burn. When I came back from a long weekend this happened, but not until they were literally 3” from the light, so I had to supercrop. I was trying to wait until they got moved into the closet, but they ended up getting too big, so I guess they’re staying in the Viparspectra tent for the rest of flower.
I still have more supercroping & flattening out of the canopy to do. Now that I won’t be moving them into my closet, I will finish flatting out the canopy & cleaning up the bottom this weekend

This is them today, the little bit of light burn & supercroping didn’t even seem to slow them down one bit️

So the Mephisto sour gummy bears actually sprouted with a gray tail I’ve never seen anything like that before. I almost threw it out but decided to go ahead and plant anyway. Sure enough sour gummy bears was the first to sprout Still waiting on grape dosi breath & a photoperiod that I planted. Also, Gonna take the cherry tomatoes outside soon

All the auto’s & the photoperiod are above ground. That’s 5/5 I was getting worried about grape dosi breath, so I got another one wet which I will now run in the ball jar since the original ended up making it.

Grape dosi breath did not make it. It never grew once above soil like the rest. Could be do to a bit of over water but not 100% sure since it didn’t show the typical signs & I watered all the other ones the same. Could of just been a bad seed. I ended up getting another grape dosi breath wet yesterday. The others are all flying along

The auto’s are really starting to take off now. They are all officially sexed & confirmed female These pics were from last weekend. I’ve just been so busy with work that I haven’t had the chance to give an update. Grape dosi breath is being super stubborn & I’m thinking that this one is not gonna make it either This run may end up being just grape god, devil cream, & sour gummy bears.
