Auto SCROG 500w cfl - 3x Ultra lemon haze (auto seeds) 1x afghan kush ryder (WOS)

aaaaaaaaaand theyre off! lol

Just a bit of techincal info:

Pots: The ULH autos are each going in 3 gallon smart pots. The AKR is going in a 40x40cm pot (id say about 6 gallons not sure)

Lights: 1x 125w white spectrum cfl for propagation and 2x 250w red spectrum cfl after 1-2 weeks veg (they are both in a twin reflector hood

Soil: Biobizz light mix AND added perlite AND 'J arthur bowers' garden lime (for cal/mag and stable pH)

Nutes: ALL AT 1/8-1/4 strength: Baby bio veg feed from week 2-4, Dutch pro Auto flowering nutes A+B from week 5-finish AND and then some PK13/14 at heavy flowering (gonna use this in the lightest concentration because its so pure)

ALL FEEDING AND WATERING WILL BE pH BALANCED with humbolt nutrients pure silicate and using a simple test kit

Ventilation: 240m3/h extractor with a 4" rhino carbon filter. 180m3/h intake, plus a 6" desk fan for internal circulation

Using a 'powerstar' light contactor so my equipment doesnt overload my timer

got 100% germination here how i did it:

1) put 3 ULH seeds in a small pot of water and the single AKR seed in its own small pot of water and put them in the dark for 12 hours.
2) after 12 hours i poked each seed into the water to test if they sank, which they all did
3) then used the wet paper towels method to germinate
4) as soon as the root was coming out like 1cm, i put the seeds in the propagator in a seedling tray, each one about 2-3mm under the soil. and left them under the 125w cfl light.
SO they are officially 2 days from opening the packet, and i hope they continue to please!

nice .. realy nice .. and some what close to what I had in mind insted of my 600W HPS when I down scale one day .. tho I will use T5HOs as I have em ..

but I will follow this grow if you continue to update with nice pics

and try to help out if possible ... I allways have lots of ideas

but look like you did your home work or got some help .. ventilation is spot on for your grow and a nice filter so no odour either .. good move ..

seems like you had some problems finding the right place for your outtake ?
it wouldnt demand mouch work on that door to make it hidden if that is a isue ?

Ooh yea ...

and try look in to coco fibers .. that how I would do it .. clean .. can be reused a few times .. close to hydro when it comes to yild but with out big water res. and pumps aso. and also easy to correct/feed .. PH and nutriens is a littel diffrent then in soil tho .. need to do some research here ..

but I belive its a nice easy clean way to get a littel better yild then in soil with some fast autos .. with out going DWG with pumps aso.

another two things I would use a few hours to research/read on .. and maybe use if you like the info ..

one is Super thrive (a drop or two in you water in early life will help them small seedlings/veg plants get a good start in life and grow fast .. specialy importent for Autos I would say)


and two ...
now your in soil I would also look in to black strap molesses .. for the last 6 weeks
(will help your soils micro life and make your buds sweet and also contains a lot of good stuff .. like calium ..magnesium and K and iron aso.)

just a littel advice I wish I had to start with .. them two products realy make a diffrent (beside normal basic nutriens of course) if you ask me .. molesse is cheap and super thrive is expensiv but you use so littel so it go a long way and you can even get small 15ml bottels for less then 20$

Thanks man, and yeah ill be updating with pics mayb once a week, altho ill have to calm myself lol Yeah basically i rent the place so drilling holes in the ceiling etc is a big no no. So had to build a false door for the ventilation. Its worked out pretty well its very makeshift and not pretty but i had a specific aim, and in the end it has worked

The filter is just placed upside down on the top shelf with an extractor fan attached to the top and the ducting goes to the top right corner hole. The other hole is there just incase i need one for the future coz i borrow the drill to to it. i thought 'why am i so determined to hang the filter' lol coz there is no holes on the end, i decided to just stand it up, so i had room to hang my propogation light. My last grow smell was a very stressful issue and i promised i wouldnt do without it again. A girl who lives in the same place, her boyfriend was a cop lol but my Ona gel helped alot but not 100%

Im planning to start the girls with an LST, before doing the scrog, because ive never tried scrog so i dont know what to expect or how the strains will work in the mesh. SO gonna lst them to get some lower branch development before i work them into the mesh. Thanks for offering a hand, im sure you will be able to give me alot of pointers when it comes to this

Never researched coco medium, but ill look into that, ive seen some good grows with it before on here. I just got 50l of soil so im gonna b using thhat up first ill keep uu posted on the progress, thanks!

haha funny you should mention these two products, they are the two things i have wondered wether i should buy I wont have the money for the superthrive till next week...s my seedlings will be 1 week old.....will it still be worth it? As for the mollases, ill be sure to get some for flowering, thanks for the heads up

ok so after a quick visit to the advanced search feature, ive decided im gonna be getting some superthrive next week and use it till week 5 (apparantly it causes less bud development if you feed in flower). Also gonna get some juicy mollases, a store does 'humbolt honey ES' near me so ill pick some up in the next 4 weeks lol

good good .. and as long as the door work .. I used a thick rubber mat and a zipper from a dust door from "walmart" tho top 1 feet is a plywood plat aswell .. with my 6" ventilation ..

and yea a filter is a must .. and a very good investment .. did clear my REALY bad "male cat piss" like stink from my 6 weeks old plants in less then 2 hours .. so I couldnt smell anything .. and could stay in my appartment agin .. not to mention sleep ..

and filter works fine that way .. and actualy how I would do it aswell .. also to make room for 4 seedlings .. so you can start new once 2 weeks before haverst .. so you can cut grow time even more ..

and yea get the super thrive .. you wont regret it .. just one of the small bottels .. I got a 120 Ml .. cost me like 40$ but I will have enough for years

and yes .. only in Veg .. and only a few times .. and only a few drops .. and only in the soil .. no foilie feeding ..

its strong stuff .. keep more then 50 diffrent vitimins and plant homones .. acids and other stuff that normal nutriens dont keep ..

I use like 2 drops in a gallon of water .. at week 2 ... 4 and 6 roughly .. helps the plant stay green .. grow fast and stay helthy and prevent a lot of problems you might get without it .. well .. I love it ..

and molesses is mostly for flowering .. a ts in a gallon of water .. tho delute it in a cup of boiling water fist .. then add it to your water can ..

I use it in the watering wher I dont add nuts ..
in other words I add nuts on one watering .. then next with molesses and then one with nuts agin aso.



Ooh yea and coco can be mix in with soil aswell .. I use 30% in my Organic soil mix .. work nicely ..

and I would maybe also try to make a side by side with coco and soil and a mix and see the diffrent .. help me choose .. just suggestion tho .. sumthing I might do .. I can get a big bag of coco for like 20$

just repot em from cups to 3 gallon pots a week ago and gave em ther fist super thrive and they realy grew a lot last 3-4 days ..

one is LSD and other is voilator kush .. boath from barneys .. under 6 T5HO tubes .. with a total of 294W and 27,900 Lumens .. 2x2700K and 4x6500K bulbs ..

in a organic soil/coco mix with stuff like Mearl/kelp/blood/bone meal/bat gunao in it ..

a week ago .. just after repotting ..

P.S. i just changed my grow journal to another title BECUASE IM NOT GOING TO SCROG anymore and i dont wanna confuse people. ive decided im going to just LST because ive come across no good grows where people have successfully scrogged an auto. I was gonna experiment myself, but id rather just heed to all the warning signs around me that LST is the way forward with autos.
