auto grow

Hi people i was wondering if a 200w dual spectrum cfl light will grow 4 auto plants

light spectrum

blue: 6400k
red: 2400k

ps iam growing in a 3ft,3ft,5ft tent so kinder a small grow space

The general rule of thumb is 100w (Minimum) per plant, so you should probably look at using 2....
With CFL's, you need to always have them about 2-4 inches away from the plant at all times to ensure maximum light penetration

if you wanna make it worth it add more light im running just about 400 actual watts on two small plants is there a reason you choose autos

when i had my cfls like 2 inches away that was to close i keep mine like 6 inches away an im useing 50 watt bulbs thats true watts

6 wow that high you not getting much good light that high they only penatrate 10 inches so with your light set at six your only getting 4 inches why do you have them so high heat issue i always keep mine 1 to 2 inchs away you gotta if you want good results from cfl

Hey ziggy ... put them back to 2 inch and point a fan at the light .

For autos you can have 50/75w a plant. So you could do 4... Also, put your hand right above your plants, if it's too hot for you hand, it's to hot for the plants. All lights will differ from height... Find what works best for you

you could do 50/75w per plant for any plant just cuz its a auto dosent mean 100 watt per plant dosent apply with 50/75w per plant your gonna have super slow growth and small yeild i would never do less that 150 w per plant but 100 will do

What you really want to focus on is Foot candles. The sun puts out 10,000 f/c. So ideally you want to get as close to that # as possible. You can get away with 5-6thousand f/c but you really dont want anything lower than that. Got lots of exp with autos. Seems your yield is going to be meager. Good luck, and learn much!

Well, it does actually because autos are relitvaly small, just like if you were to grow 12/12 from clone you could do 200w a sqft, 4 plants per sqft. I've seen people do it. Just because you don't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done. I don't give my autos 50/75w a plant... But you could do it
