Auto flower light times

I've been given this candy kush that should come up any time now (first auto I've grown) and I've ether got to put it in with some plants that are on flowering times from the moment it comes up will this work? Need someone who has tryed this? My alternative is to have it in a deferent grow section on its own but dont want to do this as its such a waist of electricity so I probably just won't bother of not.

Sure it will work. Better if you give it more light since apparently autos have a predetermined life span. In other words, your yield may be less. But, there are quite a few threads about it if you want to bone up on it. G/l
