Attempting to lollipop

This is my first attempt at lollipoping. I know I waited too long to top... My question is should I cut out the growth I circled in yellow? Or let it ride for now? Plant is 4 weeks old.

I don't cut anything off the bottom until it's done stretching 2 weeks into flower. all that is going to be wasted bud sites

let the thing be. if its not getting light at all then I would think about it but until then do nothing, to much love will kill a plant.

Thanks everyone. This is my second grow. Looks like I jumped the gun... Oh well. I won't cut anything else until flower.
