Attempting a DWC lake water

alright time for an experiment... I'm doing a bubble bucket with some local lake water. I picked up over 7 gals today while the lake was nice and calm.



I took a coffee can, washed thoroughly and painted the inside to try to keep from rusting. I then took an old light and put it through the bottom of another can.



Next, I put a small bubble stick in the bottom can, cut a hole in the lid, made a basket from a styrofoam cup wrapped in elec. tape. Here it is bubbling away! (there are NO chemicals what so ever besides a drop of SuperThrive, to help stop shock)





Heres the overall view, pretty inconspicuous eh?





Ill keep updating on the progress. If all works well, I may change all my DWCs to lake water. Once this outgrows the current light fixture, I'll have to move to a cabinet I guess.

Why stop here add some Pike or Trout to the coffee can and lets get this party started. :bigjoint:

Shit during flower you can hold fishing tournaments in each bucket for your friends.

This is what ill be doing with myself til I'm off my break lol. Can't wait to smoke again

if that lake is anything like mine your plants should yield amazing results!

with all the sewage that gets dumped into it..you shouldn't need any nutes at all..ROFLMFAO.

I really dont see anything being dumped besides crop runoff in my area. Thats mostly manure and whatever other shit they put on the fields. Maybe I'll end up with a mutant that grows crazy buds! who knows but I like to do shit like this. One day my little experiments will make me rich!

just had to raise the light last night due to a little bulb burn on the leaves... other than that, so far so good!

lol fuck it, just got brown slime so Im ditching the DWC. I dont have time for it so its goin in soil with nothing but lake water for nutes and waterings.


LESSON OF THE DAY.... JUST LAKE WATER IS NOT GOOD FOR DWC!! Now if I can get this thread moved outta the DWC thread...


I dont normally give up like this but I'm wasting too much time and effort on BS growing and I just need to focus on growing good, healthy buds. This damn MacGuyvver mentality is a curse at times!

lol not quite sure what i just saw but i did but i have gown crops outdoors next to lakes several times and the water came up and left that funky debris and wood chip line on em and for real they took of like crazy
