Are you meant to run the intake & vent exhaust from outside?

I know you are generally supposed to vent the exhaust of your grow tent outdoors, but should you also run your intake air from outdoors to prevent stake air from the indoors from being used?

Also how much bigger (and more powerful) should the exhaust fan be than the intake fan?

You can have your exhaust going anywhere you want as long as it's filtered properly. It will smell kinda sterile, but a few air fresheners help. It really doesn't matter where you intake from as long as the air is the right temp, and that it's filtered if it needs it.

Inside intake is better because you have more control over everything.

If your area is sealed, you don't need too big of a difference between exhaust and intake fans as long as the exhaust is stronger. The stronger the exhaust, the faster the air exchange (to a degree)

Indoor air is warmer and has a higher concentration of CO2 than outside air, esp in the winter and in the summer with the AC on and windows closed. This will also help to clean the air in your house as the air in the house gets filtered then released outside and the cracks and what not in the house draw fresh air in.
