I googled aechaic, and I have to say I really like that. As a real newbie it´s quite nice to have one less thing to worry about,Archaic - old or old fashioned i.e. ignore all you read on the subject.
To start with its best to just judge bud by how it looks not trichs. Calyxs and pistils will tell you all. As you go along you will get use to using a scope but its really not needed.
Some bud finishes well some is problematic because it got stressed, sometimes we cut our losses as its not going to get any better than it is.
Simply post up those buds and its pretty easy to say
You done well for a first grow. They need longer - see if the remaining white pistils will turn orange/brown and the others wither more. The withering is a sign i use a lot.
What we dont want to happen is new growth/foxtailing, slow growth, declining plant health - if that starts to get concerning cut your looses as it will be ok smoke.
But for something more you got two weeks abouts - you said about flushing, how much time were you thinking yourself before you harvested? Might have been about the right time just with your guessing.
I use the hang dry for two weeks indoors in an open room - after a week it dries but after two it taste so.much better zero hay/green taste - a lot say jar after five days boveda etc etc etc which personally i dont really agree. Take a small well done mid bud and practice a hang dry - your a grower and early sampling is our god given right plus will help you get to grips with drying.
Comgrats dude, let me know if any of that is still confusing and dont be scared to trust your own judgement as soon it will be your second grow and can learn of the firsts mistakes

I will for sure keep a close eye on the remaining white pistils and see when the already orange/brown pistils start to withering some more.
I was thinking about giving the plants dechlorinated water that is ph-down to around 6.3 for the last two weeks, that was my first plan anyway
You are right, the only way of learning proper drying is to test on the way, and for me continue taking notes all the way to end. That is a really good idea to take a mid bud and try with that! Thanks for the top tip!
I really hope that with more grow-experience less self doubting is going to happen, ´cause this first round I have almost doubted everything I have done, so hopefully that will change.

Sorry that I havent written about it in earlier comments but it´s peat moss (?) mixed with perlite I´m growing in. It sounds really logical to taper the nutes down, so that is what I´ll do!Im assuming its soil so you might get away with just water to finish. Declorinated ph id avoid unless you have bad tap water but if thats what you been using im sure its no harm. Be tempted to give one last small fert and taper to the end rather than what could be quite an abrupt change.
In soil ph is simply a number of very little meaning - soil is more a buffer than a number.
Water ph again is just a number, it dosent describe the alkalinity or buffering qualities.
Keep it simple in soil - it does the hard work of ph and buffering so no effort needed there. Can check your tap water report easily.

Sorry, I really don´t understand what you mean so I have to ask, should I stay away from declorinate the water before I use it? I have to say that we have very good tapwater here in Sweden, so maybe I don´t have to dechlorinate it before I use it? Is it the same if I´m growing in coco?

I have for sure made som big mistakes with this grow, so I´m quite sure my plants have been very stressed from time to time, but at least I wont do the same mistake on my next run.
