Are these normal?

These only recently started coming on the plant after I top dressed and water them I was wandering if they are deficiency’s or not.

Not sure what that is from in the first pic.. could be a defficency .. but it also resembles thrip damage but way bigger..
The other pic is normal die back from lack of food..
