are my plants ready for nutes?

Two of them were planted a week after the one on the right, but the one on the right is looking a little yellow and isn't growing as fast anymore.

Once these plants are 6" I am putting them in 6" netpot lids with clay pebble medium in a 3.5 gal bucket (for each plant) under 400 watt MH.

Is it safe to start a nutrient solution yet? I just changed the reservoir yesterday (been doing it weekly) but I was afraid two of the plants are too small for nutes yet. I'm using Flora nutes

cheers

YESSSSS! In hydro or an inert medium(like coco) I believe it's important to feed them from the begging. I make sure my plants have 100-150ppm as soon as they break ground. By the end of their second week I like to have them up to around 300ppm. At that point I slowly increase based on what the plants are telling me.

I just did something similar. Wanted to try hempy buckets so I planted my seeds in root riot cubes, and then in a 16oz solo with 100%perlite. They grew fine for a week with just water. They had their set of single blade leafs and started working on their first set of real leafs and just stalled. After a whole week of them basically doing nothing(i thought maybe the roots were developing), and two weeks from first planting the seed, they started to turn light green. They seamed so small and I read so many things about NOT feeding them too soon.

As soon as i decided to feed them they took off! I was straving them! I think about it like this; in nature a seed falls into fertile soil. So when were in an inert medium/hydro we need to supply ALL the plants nutrients. There isn't enough energy in that little seed to make it do much more then germ/sprout. I think if were not feeding them immediately we are really slowing down their first two weeks. That's been my experience. I use to wait two weeks, now I just start at a really low ppm from day one.

gave them 1ML of Gro, 1ML of Micro, 1ML of Bloom per 1gallon. Meter read 163 PPM, PH read 6.3/6.4 (after I put in some PH down)

lets hope these babies boom
