I tried getting a pic through the magnifier but couldn’t get a good one.

Anyways I read that after a certain amount of time, trichomes go from clear to cloudy to amber

Well I’m 7 weeks into flowering (ton of crystallization and smells to high heaven) started flushing, and half of the trichomes are amber?! So amber I don’t even need the magnifier lol

It’s white widow, I was told 8 weeks from 12/12, 9 if I really want it nasty.

Does this happen? The flower finishes early??

Flushing? What ever for?

Flushing is a myth! So is the "fade"...

So many variables in what you feed to what the grow environment is, makes for how plants grow. Fast or slow is just a cpl of possible result's.

It sure sounds done to me!

More amber more couch lock...body high....good for pain and sleeping.....

More clear then more cerebral and more up buzz.....good for working and getting stuff done

Also, more Indica dom usually more body and couch (not always) and Sativa dom more cerebral and up high

You get to choose but wait too long and you will lose potency

Many dispute trich color effects so to those, ah...well...ah, that do dispute that...ah.. can just get glad and sad in the same britches!

In reality, many of the newer, modern uber potent strains....don't amber much, to not at all! There are Sativa strains that do not amber....Over time and experience, you learn what to "look" for to determine "finished."

Right now, I'm running 12 different strains. Of those 12, only 4 are old school ambering strains. 8 do not, or express only VERY, VERY little ambering when at finish.....In fact, a cpl of those that might. If they do, you went to long.

You should keep in mind that even after being harvested. The buds will still have "growth" activity for a cpl of days. In other words. They will continue to "age" and trich's will continue to amber during this time!

Truly old school strains that amber will have a different set of colors the trich's go through... Some can and do express a light amber, very early in bloom, even in veg. As they near finish they begin to darken, and hit true maturity at a reddish color. Once they go beyond that, to a dark red or almost black color. They have gone to far!

I had a wonderful old skunk x Romulan cross that did that. Sadly, I lost that strain in a cop infestation, some years back...

I had a Sativa last summer took forever to amber....had to shorten day to 11/13. Big sativa fan but can tell you that many additives have screwed up genetics and some marijuana will live for years as a tree if fed (seen em). In many parts of the planet lighting is less of signal to finish and expended nutrients in the ground surrounding the plant becomes the signal to finish.

If one feeds late flower there is a good chance that amber will delay indefinitely until feeding stops. This reduces potency as plant never reaches full maturity (because of the feeding).

Believe or not...bigger buds will come from storehouse in leaves than added nutes!

Over 4 decades of doing this, beg's me to ask, "what the fuck are you talking about?"
Secondly: "I don't believe it."
lastly; I always run bloom at 11/13! Less stress on the plant.....Yes, I said "stress".

I'll drop to 10/14 near the end of "pure" or long running sativa's that seem to "stall"....
