are drip emitters or drip rings better?

rebuilding my watering system, last time I used drip emitters on stakes but the small pump didn't have enough pressure. I have purchased a new pump but looking at drip rings. I keep reading the rings clog. Does anyone have experience or recommendations why I would chose one over the other?

Pre built rings/halos clog. diy rings with 4-5 180-360 degree sprayers (the cheap red blue green ones) on a ring of soft 1/2 tubing looping onto a tee fitting on a timer-pump still clog. It is easy enough to swap out the sprayers that clog every once and again though. Use a tee fitting and a value to prevent syphon.

All the commercial growers are using drip emitter stakes with leader ecojet pumps. Get a Netafim filter and pressure reducer to prevent clogs. That seems to be the way to go.
