Aquaponics

I think its about time there be some discussion on aquaponics. Its a soil-less growing technique using recycled fish wast water, pretty much the exact same as dwc,ebb and flow and nft depending on how you want to set up your grow. Me, i do a ebb and flow technique i have 150 gallon rubbermade tank with 50+ red nile tilapia in it, above it is a 3'x4' wooden media bed i made out of 2''x6'' lined with a pond liner with a 3'' bell siphon that allows my water to be drained as soon as it reaches a certin hight.
up untill a few days ago i had a 1000w hps light witch was way too big for my growing space so i down-sized a lil by putting a ufo led light in the mix and seeing wonderfull results. So for any one out there growing aquaponicly, lets here it what kind of system are you running, and for all you hydroponic dwc growers, give aquaponics a chance, sub out your chemicals and thow a couple if fish in there instead. here are a pros and cons of aquaponics. #1.100% organic all the way #2. not only do you get amazing nugs you can grow edible fish in the process.#3 DUCKWEED<-- endless fish food that you can grow right in your system never wast money on chemicals again.# 4 almost no maintenance becaus you dont have to add jack exept fish food you cant add jack becaus you could kill your fish.#5 Using the fish water to water your soil plants..#6 Really fun to create your own system great for all thos DIY selfers. I would put some cons up there but honestly i have not come across any negative results to my aquaponic system... will post pics soon. I have been doing this for a little over a year now so i wouldnt say im an expert but i deff got some experiance so if any one has any questions on anything i would love to help out in any way i can.

Yea bro I pull pretty fat nugz off my ladies. Nothing like my outdoor but just as good as any other indoor set up if not better. In my opinion.

You can add a few things to the water safely, they have a lot of symbiotic bacteria that helps optimize a system like yours, beauty non the less!

Done, chocolop in ap with led is finally done, chopped and harvested yesterday about 2 weeks too late though, unexpected death in the family caused me to miss the harvest date, and a "know it all friend" who helps me take care of this little experiment decided my ladies needed a hair cut about two weeks into flowering and did a horrable hack job now instead of huge colas I got a million pop corn nuggets ugggg. while harvesting I found a couple of seeds, im thinking im not 100% light proof. but the great thing about my grow is its all an experiment so with every harvest I learn a lil something for the next, lessons for next aquaponic grow: light proof everthing 100% then do it again, going solo no friends with happy hands getting involved this time... finally got this shit down I got a good feeling about this next on, Time to get fucking serious!!!!
