aphids

I bought two houseplant in two weeks ago on the first floor. Today I noticed that they had aphids on the stem when I moved them outside into the trash I saw a couple fliers too. My grow tent is in the basement. Am I fucked?

Also if they are on the stem they don't go after the roots? Or is it common to have both stem and root aphids?

Heres what you do, go to @Greengenes707 you tube videos. He has a video on what he did to battle aphids. Dudes a savage grower and if i remember right beat the aphids in veg and finished a grow. He used something inexpensive i think. And yes they go up the stems and cause complete kayos during flower get inside all the buds. Its so fucking frustrating. Its the craziest bunch of bullshit one has ever seen. So yes I've been through it and almost lost the fight, but what me and my wife did you won't want to do. Almost causes a divorce. Go watch the video from greengenes bro........

I checked the dirt on the plants that had aphids did not see any in the dirt think they are leaf kind. Im just going to do a more organic spray on the leaves and keep a watch out for those fuckers.
