The bungee cords work, but I basically made a speaker box out of particle board, lined it with Dyna mat, which is used in automotive sound systems to dampen vibration. I also put a computer fan in the top to exhaust heat. Good luck
It's not that it's resonating off a table or something that is loud, it's the actual operation of one of those things. Plug it in, and it buzzes so loud! Even in your hand. LOL
