I have been getting into higher end glass lately. Anyone else here on RIU into glass too?

Check out this bub I got. It is by Marble Slinger. It is sick. He uses a sandblasted technique that looks really slick. It is actually a colab piece with another blower SnIC. He actually made the shape and M. Slinger did the stincels.









Anyone Else?

Im talking about any roors, Toros, SG, any heady american artist. Pieces that you charish and clean everyday.

I will be keeping this bub around for some time to come, I also have a 16inch roor.us an illadelph green glass rasta label and some slides by freeek, kennaroo and mike fro, if anyone is interested I could post some more pics of my stuff.

ok, here is another one for ya guys.



it is my sg bubbler. if you look closely then you can see the downstem, it is actually a quad downstem so it busts off into 4 actually from the 18.8mm joint. Hits soooo smooooooth, I love it, I clean it daily so everytime I go to use it, it is like new! Gotta love that :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

you can see I recently started to collect more high end glass, I had some extra money around the holidays, I should have saved it but I got this puppy instead! Worth every penny but I have a bad glass addiction now that is taking up my every penny!!! hahahaha

you can take glass antique oil lamps and modify them to make kick ass bongs. Some of them are pretty fancy---gay---but some are cool.

although i do applaud your pieces... i have broken more than my body weight in glass in my lifetime.... i will NEVER own an expensive piece such as these...

them things cost a pretty penny for sure.

Pretty much standard rate.

The Marble Slinger Bubbler was 750 out the door and the SG bubbler I got off craigslist. I believe I talked him down to 190. He was pretty firm at 2 but I drove to him and smoked him out and what not. Those things retail for about 3 or 350 new so I got a good deal since glass can be cleaned till it is in new condition quite easy (he cleaned it to look like new before I got it)

Those prices are pretty standard for american heady glass. The slinger piece was a little more on the high side as it is more of an artistic piece than a production piece seeing as it is one of a kind, there are ones with different stencils blasted into them but none exactily like this one or closley similar at all.

Check out this piece, it will be my next pick up hopefully on friday.




I think im getting one with Bruce Lee blasted onto it instead of this one wich is supposed to be Rocky I think (I thought it was Robin Hood, hahaha)
And I hope to pick up this slide too, which I think is way sick. Hahah, its my B day in a week and need a new puffing device. The bub and slide are about 6 bills.



you can see the bub is called a Jagitoe bub and its blown by an artist named HOPS. Hops does a lot of work that is more functional say, then artsy. He just started to do the blasted logos and is supposedly going to stop. The slide (bowl) is by an artist name D-Wreck. He is actually friends with M. Slinger who made the bubbler that I currently have in the first post. They perfected the blasting style on their pipes and feature many cool stencils. Me and my girlfriend are Misfits fans and I absolutly LOVE the face marble on the slide. This guy is known for his facemarbles.

Come on RIU we need to step up our glass game, hahaha, well I know the industry is booming right now and with obama in the hizzy now internet sites are popping back up. If you need any advice I can help. STOP buying the cheap china glass, save up an spoil yourself and buy american, and clean that piece everyday. It is disgusting to see resin on all these downstems, that is unclean! Even miss high times is smoking out of a dirty roor.

At least phelps got it right. He was soming outta a clean bong AND it was a ROOR!! Sick, someone knows what is up.

So, everyone, stop buying that soft glass shit and go to a real headshop. I have none around me and I have to drive 45 min to the city, but now that I know what I am looking for it is a lot better. Thanks for looking guys, I look foward to more discussion!

Here is a goblet that M. Slinger made from glass using the blasting tech. I thought it was really cool.
I wish I had a krylon goblet!

Nice! That is an original JBD right. looks nice! does it have a glass on glass joint

I have seen some new JBDs that are just made by a chineese company and they just use the JBD name. Nothing like the old school ones tho, they are all clear and have urban graphitti style stuff on it

slinger and sg glass, two fuckin BRILLIANT artists, i wanna get some high-end...sg's king dubbler and some slinger slides, maybe a hops inline


i just need to get a new job :wall:

yep its an og jbd those others are called jbd graphics i love this thing tho yeah its got glass on glass joint :bigjoint:

that is sweet that it has a GonG joint! I have never seen an og one with the GonG, didn't think they made em, very baller.

Those SG Dubblers are way sick too. I would love a king. I have never seen one in a store yet, I think they are more around the East Coast area, that would be one sick pickup tho.

So, I hope to get that slide and the Hops inline. I am also looking foward to getting a Toro as well. I want a stemless with at least 8 arms on the bottom and then like 11 on top or maybe even go for the gusto and get 2 11s on the top check this one out
