Just noticed that CIDLY have updated their product range. I bought an apollo 10 fixture about 5 months ago which is of the same type as HGL, Blackstar Chrome etc. Im not too keen on the new cidly website but the newest lights look quite interesting. Check out the king kong range http://www.cidly.com/?page_id=217 they have redesigned the website too so its hard to see how many diff sizing options there are (apollo is available with from 1-20 modules). Anyone know anything about these new lights? I cant see a live chat option anymore which sucks too :( All info appreciated.

Ive seen them they also updated the apollos too. I would stay with apollo. The others have too many features. I think.its more geared towards aquariums too. The za, has a dimmer, remote control to control spectrums., etc.... More things to go wrong. I like my apollo 8 and grabbing 2 more next month. That one is all plug and play too. with newer tech there will always be bugs to work out. So if you want the new ones. I would wait.

Fyi their shipping charges change monthly.

The chat option. Click on contact.

I love how on the apollo page under the modular assembly section, it says "Even kids know how to make it"

Hmmm, I wonder what the chances are that kids are actually making these.

From what I've seen, they seem to be decent lights at a decent price. I like the look on the king kong models

yeah I think I will stick to apollo for now. My contact at Cidly say that they are only shipping the new lights to certain countries (UK not included) whilst they hammer out deals with distributors. On the plus side ive been offered an 8 spot apollo for $320 delivered :D very tempting to take it as that would put me up to 18 modules total between 2 lights with well over 600 watts of actual power draw...
