I went to dig into my big pots for transplant and found this.. some sort of root.

I am running 45 gallon smart pots, no till and ya outdoors. i have seen it b4 a long time ago but i have no clue.. i was thinking maybe a mushroom. my soil is horse manure compost pro mix an rice hulls. and i did a cover crop of clover so i would assume it came from the manure.
 
Nothing, i mixed them cooked them then moved them to my grow area and when i went to dig out a spot for my plants found that 4-6 inches down..
 
It kind of looks like the core from a cabbage. They will survive being buried and sprout like that thing looks like it's trying to do. Could easily get mixed in where the compost was produced.
