well got my bags packed and its about time for a roadtrip way up north to catch some steelhead wandering if there were any RIU members who went up there?

Any or most tributaries thats come off lake erie have good runs of steelies...you also do wanna go now cuz they will be dropping eggs in another month and they get sluggish and head back to the lake...if yay ever come to ny for steelies fishing let me know cuz ive been steelies fishing for 20 yrs....im in western n y and no every trib like the back of my hand...happy fishin

i might have to do that somtime, i always say i would love to meet a local so i could see some of the good holes. do you get salmon up there to?

and how far of a drive are you from erie PA, i know how far it is for me to get there, trying to see how far away you are

Not far at all...I just did a job down there and it takes 1& 1/2 hrs.but even by you if thats were your from thers good fishin in your tribs ...and year we have runs of browns, rainbows, salmon, and, steelies...brown trout eggs are by far the best bait for steelies or bows...im a center pin fisherman and is the best way to go

my dad and brother inlaw are into the center pin fishing but i just use spinning rod, i have been wanting to go for salmon for a long time. i caught 12 steelies today not to bad but ive done alot better before

in some places it is but i know places in ohio and erie where noone else fishes its a long walk but well worth it. ive never caught salmon before but ive gotten tons of steelheads
