so I germinated a new seed and it was popped within 2 days, planted, and sprouted above soil the next day so I would consider it very healthy, well it grew to about 3 in. tall and just stopped, and its been this way for about a week now, it just has the set of cotyledons, and the first set of true leaves started to come in but they turned white and stopped growing, anyone experience this with their seedling? got plenty more seeds to use just don't wanna spend the time sprouting one again lol, and wanna know if should just ditch this one, thanks!!

What are you doing for light?

She likely is just growing roots and you just need to be patient. Post a pic. If she looks healthy I wouldn't worry.

If you don't have enough light your not going to have a good grow. If you have sufficient lighting for your space and you have lots of seeds I'd say fuck it and plant another. This time plant seed directly into freshly watered soil and keep lights on and keep wet with a sprayer.

I have had a seedling that only sprouted 1 leaf and was a runt while the others grew so I threw it away. I think I did some damage to it by when trying to pull a seed shell piece off it after it sprouted.

This is one of mine that I accidentally damaged but it did not stunt it, actually doing very well. Its AMS from greenhouse seeds. My buckets are full and I have 5 babies left over that didn't make the cut she is one of them. The other 4 are all cheese. I will post them below. They stretched more than the others and I cant have too stretch of ones in my cooker. I am going to give them to a friend that grows he just planted his seeds this will give him a little head start.

There is 4 cheese seeds from greenhouse seed co. The foot is only half a foot above them I don't understand the stretch the other plants just started stretching and they have much bigger leaves.

Elongated stems on seedlings are a common problem, especially among newer growers. It means your new sprouts are stretching out in search of light, or rather more light.

The most common solution is simply adding more light, or moving the light you have closer to your little seedlings.

What is your current light set-up?

check ph. not sure if this is what is going on but with my first seedlings, i germinated in spring water and when the tap root came out i put into jiffy's tomato peat pellets. they did well for a two days then the first set of true leaves started yellowing and they stopped growing. under a t5 ho within an inch and the temp was good. turned out that the peat pellet is only good for a few days. it is too acidic and the leaves turned yellow. putting in neutral soil corrected the problem within two days. now i just go from spring water germing into ph neutral soil. if you are using fluorescents keep in mind the ambient temp to determine the proximity to the seedling so that it doesn't go over 80 or so. not that this is what is going on in your case right now. but just another issue to keep an eye on.
