For some reason, this 1000-watt switchable ballast I'm using doesent seem to work right. I'm using the metal hilide bulb that came with it, but it only works when the switch is set to HPS, not MH.... Im guessing its just labeled incorrectly? Has anyone else ever had this problem with a GrowBright switchable ballast?

This type of ballast enables growers to bypass costly conversion lamps and maintain the higher light output from non conversion bulbs.

i know that its made for both kinds of bulbs!!! the thing is, there is a switch on the side with two settings: "HPS" and "MH," which are self-explanitory..... The thing is, this metal halide bulb only works on the "HPS" setting, which is, unsurprisingly, wierd to me....

try playing with both options and see how it goes then agian you may have just got a diffected one ...... Most times they are covered by warranty so you could just return it.....
