Let me take a sec and try to provide a little better info for ya
As I usually state, growing weed, especially all the way from seed to smoke, is not all that easy, especially for non-technical people or those without a green thumb. The info can be overwhelming and confusing, especially with hydroponics. There's a reason why so many people still buy from people selling. Not everyone has the time or ability to do this. It is a daily chore that presents challenges at every step for new growers.
The best advice I can give is this:
- Start with soil, not hydro
- Start with only a few plants. Problems are exponential with several
- Find a single reputable source, and stick with it. I highly suggest GrowWeedEasy
- Don't mix your soil, just start with a middle of the road potting soil. I like Black Gold Organic Mix, myself, but even Scott's will work. Just DO NOT use Miracle Grow. Too many reasons to explain
- Don't mix nutrients, or use boosters/additives. Stick with very simple nutrients, like GH Maxi, or Flouro series
- Balancing your pH is extremely important. Many new growers just shoot this aside, then they wonder where all their problems are coming from.
- Take it one step at a time. Each week, have a plan, and follow the GrowWeedEasy, week by week guide
- Adding more nutrients is not a solution for most problems. Read up, then react. Don't just react. The GrowWeedEasy site has a great plant problem identifier guide with solutions. Keep it bookmarked
- Absolutely do not go from yardwork or gardening, into the grow room. It's a sure way to get really bad bugs, some which can decimate your crop in just a day or two. Treat your grow space like a sterile lab, and you'll save yourself tons of heartbreak and work
- Don't try and come up with your own methods or techniques. Chances are, if you don't see it advised by the experienced growers here, then it's been tried and rejected. Just concentrate on what you've been learning to do by the pros.
Like I said, not everyone's up for all this work, and I've only scratched the surface. It's a great hobby, and there a ton of rewards, but it's not as easy as planting a seed, watering it, then smoking it 3 months later. It is a daily routine, especially in the beginning. After you get the hang of it, it becomes fairly easy.
