Anyone else have this problem with Spiderfarmer Lights?

Ok, so I have 2 spiderfarmer lights. 1 is a SF-1000 that I purchased. The other is a sf4000 that I won here on RIU!! Now that being said. I will now ask other RIU Crew Members if they've had a similar problem to this. NOTE THIS IS NOT A SMEAR CAMPAIGN ON SPIDERFARMER!! But my SF-1000 works great on a full term grow.. The sf-4000 I received from them as a prize, I Feel is defective!! And One Hell of a concern to me. I have only maybe 100 hours of use with it. And now its showing burn marks around the diodes and more so around the screws. This Is Freaking Me out, as I see nothing but a fire hazard in the making. Anybody else have this problem with spiderfarmer lights???

It's difficult to tell that those are burn marks from the pictures. Is it on top of the protective coating? Can you wipe it off with damp cloth or isopropyl?

Safety is of upmost concern, so anything questionable should be investigated and reported to the manufacturer. But I'm just saying, for me, that doesn't look like marks I would expect from over current or heat on the PCB's.

I see what you're saying! :D BUT, I did rub those yellow streaks when the light was completely cooled. And it appears to be melted glue.. Ok, That's my freaking concern!!!! If glue is melting down around the diodes. Then that means it is Straight Up to Fuckin Hot.. Any one with common sense knows, that when glue reaches its melting point, that Ignition of Flames is not many more degrees higher. That's My Concern! I only have one house and property. I dont think I'll risk it anymore.

If it has a melted texture and you're pretty confident that it's something caused by heat, then definitely notify the manufacturer.

Thank you @Tracker! That was going to be my next inquiry, to the company that is. I just wanted a few honest opinions from other members on the issue. Now mind you, I Personally could be overreacting, but fire is my worst phobia/fear.

I had burn marks around some diodes and 7 of them quit working on my 288 diode LEDs. It got spooky to me too, so I replaced the board. I’m sure SF will warranty the board.
I do know that some videos say to use a nylon or similar washer around the screws to prevent shorts. Greengenes mentions it I think on YouTube. Maybe you had some stray current or grounding issues with that board. My knock-offs didn’t have washers, and the board started to stay on a fraction of a second after lights out too; it had to be replaced.
Don’t burn your shit down.

Since I received this light it has only been turned on for no more than 3 hours in the morning. For supplemental morning light for my light depped plants. Its had minimal use and the temps n humidity never get over 80 F or %. This is my average climate with this light.

Yeah you’re sure not working it hard or putting it in a harsh climate. The board that lost the diodes on me was my veg one and it was the only one running at less than the max wattage. Too gently with them I guess.

Anyone have any problems with burnt diodes on their LED boards? I've got 7 of the 3000K ones gone on my fusion board. It's not old; bought it last spring. It sat unused in my spare room for the last 2 months. I used it for a veg light at 150 watts. I put it up in my grow this week for some side...

I feel ya. I been burned too many times. I Think I will just talk to spiderfarmer about it. bongsmilie

I would be extremely concerned. I forget how long ago it was that an RIU member woke up to smoke. Found his attic on fire and from an electrical issue with his grow. He got on here and advised everyone.
