Any thought on my cabinet?

Hey RIU,

I just plant my seeds two days ago. I was wondering if you guys a give me any tips on my setup. On the left, I have the bottom computer fan as my air intake and the one on top as my exhaust. I have a 3rd fan next the the top one but it's not in use and covered with foil (dull side). I have a hole to insert another two lights on the left and right walls in the middle. Currently they are covered.

Last time I tried planting seeds, I had my mh light really close and ended up frying my beans. Right now I have fluorescents so I thought I could leave it an inch or two about the cups. Is this ok?

Looks like a nice little set up there, your going to need more light in there for sure unless you use ur mh which will have better results but ofcourse means more heat. What nutes you using and what wattage are those cfls your using?

The CFL's are 35watt at 6400k. Is the length ok from the light to the cups?

I'm using the full line on FF. I'm planning on following their feed schedule they have.

As soon as it breaks ground. I was going to add both the side lights to the cabinet. Since it hasn't broken ground yet. I was planning on leaving it unless you guys think having more lights now will help break ground faster or any other improvements.

I cant even see the seedlings in the pic. Just raise it another inch or so as they are sensetive right now so introduce them to light but not so close. The other bulbs will help and make a difference, so i would fit them in there.

Give us some closer pics of the seedlings too aswell as the setup on the next update. :peace:

I'm at work right now. The seedlings haven't broken ground yet. They are still under the soil. I will give you an update as soon as they break. I will also raise the lights about 2 inches.

Why are you sprouting the seeds under lights theyre supposed to germinate and sprout in a dark warm place!

I thought they had sprouted which explains me not being able to see them!

Dont forget that the main reason u sprout them in the dark is so gravity pulls the tail down and the seed will sprout out of the soil in search for light! Once they have, that ofcourse is when you put them under the lights to strengthen and become from white sprout to green plant. Sprouts are real sensetive which is why they need darkness and humidity to sprout the proper way.

Learning the facts, its what we are here for! :peace:

The seeds germinated. They have a little root coming out. I planted in the cup and just turned on the light. Someone told me that I should leave the lights on for 24 hrs and then 18hrs after words.

So I need to leave the lights off until the it breaks ground?

That someone said right about 24 hour light, but i take it they diddnt mention thats after they sprout. Once they raise (break ground) then theyre telling you theyre ready for light. 24 hours for atleast 3 days then 18/6.

When you know alot and become experienced it becomes so much easier.
