Any good or bad reviews for this system?

I am looking to buy a new hydroponic grower because my aerogarden can only fit one plant and a few clones. Anyone know much about Emily's hydroponic grower, made by hydrofarm? If so, tell me if it's a good buy or not.

you could probably build a home made ebb and flow system for about the same amount, probably less. I put my vote for that rather then spending money on another system not designed to do what you want to do.

Puff, the Emily system is pretty small DWC set up. It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to get some little plants started before you move them to a larger set up, OK. Start to finish, not really. If you look at it, it's only a 2 gallon res. ad at 2 x 1.5 there isn't enough room there for larger plants. If what you are looking for is a way to grow 6 adult plants I agree w/SFI, make something. There are some very good plans out there for 5 gallon buckets that can be done on the cheap or hempy buckets. I have started them from cuttings and seed in the AG, veg to about 8-9 inches and then moved them to the hempy buckets with good results. I have also started them the same way and moved them to an 18 gallon roughneck Filthy Fletch Aero/DWC tub and done well. Good luck with whatever you land on.

PuFFtOkeSMOKE: Please understand that I love my A/G's and I'm not likely to change. I took a look at Emily's site and for the price it looks pretty good. You have twice the reservoir capacity that you have with an A/G but it's still awfully small for six plants. You'll have more monitoring to do and I don't know how easy that will be once the plants are bigger. I saw something similar to this earlier this year in one of my greenhouse catalogs but the thing that turned me off was that you have no lighting. Until flowering the 16/8 A/G schedule works great for me.

I regularly grow two to three female plants in mine without any real problem. Admittedly it's much easier with two than it is with three. But I like the compactness and stealthiness of the A/G. If you are using a standard seven hole model with the two the round CFL's and the shorter arm/light stand you might want to think seriously about an upgrade kit. It has a hood with three flat higher intensity CFL's and an arm/light stand that extends up to a full 24 inches.

If you just want to go bigger, how about an 18 gallon "Rubber Maid" tub with a sprayer and a bubbler inside? It will accommodate six plants nicely and you'll have a lot less pH fluctuations. Of course I wouldn't put that in my house because 18 gallons of nutes on the floor would do nothing good for my new carpeting. There are some good tutorials about this type of Aeroponic/hydroponic system on You Tube and I think here as well. And you can build it for a lot less than Emily's.
